This is an odd effect which can be explained by the cumulative accretion of infinitesimally time-consuming tasks. Similar examples include "eh, my vote doesn't matter" and other marginal matters.

On an unrelated note, I have found that when I abstain from gaming/boarding/&c my productivity mysteriously shoots up like a heroin addict on the day after welfare checks come in the mail. Decisions, decisions.

I used to be a lot more interested in creative writing. Now I think I'm holding myself at too high of a standard to get anything finished.

That and I'm lazy and as of late, I tend to have more pressing things to do.
