In theory everything is possible. But in practice reverse-engineering some things would take A LOT of time I personally don't have. So nope.

oh ok well ill let u know how my level is goin in the next while sorry for double posting :/

also, you know the way mario and luigi can jump on each others heads and hurt each other with fireballs etc? in single player if u get a clone that doesnt happen like you cant hurt each other or jump on each others head so do you if u can disable the hurting between player 1 and 2 in multiplayer?

I'm not sure if it can be done.
Most of the hurting, for example from fireballs, is due to the fact that both clones are Marios. You know that in multiplayer your own fireballs do not hurt you? That's because fireballs "remember" they belong to Mario or Luigi. So, if you have two mario's, the fireball will hit the other Mario but will not hurt him because it's a Mario and not a Luigi...

To be honest, I've never tried ASM hacking in MvsL stuff. Probably because I dont have two ds's to test it out

ahh thats a bummer well im really getting into MvsL hacking now and then i saw a beta trailer with mario and luigi playing a co-op level so multiplayer must have been planned for the original game ( so it must be possible to play 2 player ) but im useless when it comes to coding etc. i dont even know what ASM is :/ so i guess im stuck making a big multiplayer level for now :/

Can someone tell me, where the file for the World-Icons is? (I think it is somewhere in the UI_Studio folder, but I am not sure about it

World Icons: The little pictures you can touch on the worldmap to change the current world.

if you leave the 16x16 block completely blank, the camera doesn't move in it.
Also, there is a object (jyotyu 1-8, dont know what one exactly) that doesnt allow the camera to move to the object.
I mean, if you put the object anywhere on the level, the object WON'T move into the camera.

I wish that were the case. The camera will inconsistently move into a 16x16 block with no objects or sprites. I have many levels that do this. That is why I was hoping for an object that would do it. Also, the 276/198/199 sprites can be inconsistent too.

So that is what I have in a few areas. There are levels where there is nothing in the 16x16 map, plus the 276 sprite not working correctly, and the camera doesn't want to stay out of the 16x16 area.

i had the same problem once in a while, but i could fix it through putting a object 2 in the 16x16 block

The other way around. I don't want the camera going into the 16x16. I have used object 2 to get the camera into an area successfully many times. But, I need something to keep the camera out. There seems to be no reason that the camera would scroll into it. I am positive there is nothing there. 198/199/276 are hit or miss. They do not always work.

hey ive just seen some multiplayer videos of the beta and now i really want to make a co-op hack. im still making a big level but i really want to insert the end of level sprite ( the flag ) so would anyone have any idea how to?

As far as I know, you can edit the sprite sets with Hex. There was something in the MvsL multiplayer hacking thread.
But i think it doesnt work

well im still finishing the big multiplayer level almost like one in single player so ill let u know soon

eh with the volcano level in world 8 ( i think its 8-6 ) the lava goes up BUT i want to make it slower
the command is 00 00 02 F0 10 00 for that lava sprite but i want to make it go slower.
which one controls the speed?
