Right now HEAD revision compiles fine. It's ok to select head revision. It will have more features
i have tested the new beta...
it is really buggy!
for example the mini map in the left downl corner of the editor...it hides some options, for example the path editing options!
And the path editing is really buggy too!
because of that, I would take the r93!
The minimap issue is fixed in r100
and i'll fix the paths right now
EDIT: Fixed the paths in r101

how to use the change file butten in the bg option.
read already the description, but I still don't know how to use it...
what number I must type inside the "change file"-box?
If I change an empty bg and import an bg to the bg i have just pushed "change file" and I use that bg in a level, the game crashs if i start the level!

Whoa...
I'm going to copy-paste this to the FAQ thread.
The Change File button reassigns the BG to use different files.
For example, on the Top BG Layer, slots 9 and 10 are both the beach cliffs. They point to the same files, so if you modify one, the other one will get modified to.
With the Change File button, you are able to make one of the BG slots point to different files, so that you'll be able to reuse it, to add a new BG instead of replacing another one.
For example, you want to change slot 10. Then you select Slot 10, and then look in the file browser what files you want to overwrite. I recommend you overwrite the files in the ARCHIVE folder. Except the Dat_***.narc files, all of them are used for minigames. Let's say you want to overwrite bomthrow.narc, card.narc and casino.narc. They are File Id's 136, 137, 138. So, go to the box next to the Change File button and input "136" and click the button. Then import something into the BG slot. You'll see that the narc's have been replaced with the BG data, and that slot 9 still has the beach cliffs.
Note: you can't add files to a ROM, so you're forced to overwrite files from the minigames. Of course, they'll stop working but that doesnt matter. |

1.open tile set editor
2.open the tile set you want to edit
3.push export
4.save the file where you want
5.open the file with a good painting program what supports tranparency (not PAINT!!!)
6.draw a tunnel
7.save as .png again
8.import it to the game
if you have done all this ask me again!

can't read that on the picture...
pls write it here!
@dirbaio:
1. If I use the change file button to overwrite minigames, only the emulator can play the game. If I start the game
on my NDS Lite, with a dstt, my game crash before the nintendo logo appears!
2.I have changed the background 65 (Desert Pyramids), but in my game the Backgrounds 64 (Desert Pyramids), 52
(Desert Pyramids) and 2 (Desert Pyramids) aren't changed.
I don't know why, because you said, the same backgrounds, share the same file ID.

Hmm...
Try to overwrite other NARC's. Make sure that it's obvious that they are from the minigames. i'm not sure if ALL of them are for the minigames...
If you cant get it to work, try the ROM on other emulators than the one you use (no$gba, desmume, ideas...)
EDIT: And of course post back if it still doesnt work

Hmm...
Not exactly.
You mean that you changed the file id for bg 65 and it didnt change the others?
It's normal. BG slots point to file ID's. In the original ROM, BG slots that contain the same point to the same file, so if you import something into one slot, it will overwrite the file, modifying all the BG slots that use that file.
However, if you change the file for one slot, it just changes the file for THAT slot. So the other ones still point to the old files. |

If you want Mario/Luigi goes behind some tiles, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE!!!
And please annoy someone other with that "But it is possible if i do this or that"
One time I was like you, I asked without an end dirbaio, until he was really angry with me
But I have changed!
If it is not possible it is not possible...
Put up with that
PS: Your english is very bad...

LOL, yeah...
It's quite stupid to ask over again if sth is possible when it's NOT possible. The NSMB engine does'nt allow layering tiles, unlike NSMBwii's. So, No.
It's because a limitation in the NDS. Its graphics engine allows up to 4 "layers", which are all used. One for 3d stuff, one for the level tiles, and two for the two bg layers.

Wow...
Nice! It's an AR code?
BTW, is the D-pad also rotated, i mean, if you press Up you go up relative to the screen? |
