Migrated the server across Linode because the fixes for the latest Intel chip bugs broke everything.

Well, the date for Recaptcha v1 passed and we don't have a workaround (I checked), and turning it off increased the amount of crap that got through by a large amount, so for the time being I've restricted new signups on the wiki. Admins (and even users ) can create new accounts, so it's not like we've restricted it entirely; you just can't sign up from the wiki itself now.

I will need to spend some time Soon&tm; figuring out what to do, because we are rapidly approaching "this cannot continue" levels:

Thankfully I delayed long enough that Linode appears to have figured out elastic storage, so this may be a simpler fix than before. But it will still involve literally days of downtime...

*ahem* It's time to finally address the elephant in the room: https://tcrf.net/Mushroom_Kingdom_Fusion
This famous fangame. It's cancelled. Therefor, it requires a gigantic overhaul.
I am intending on doing that, but I wont be able to do it alone.
So...who's willing to volunteer on helping me out with this mammoth of a project?
I'm even willing to share whatever you guys need.

Could I add a note saying "keep lossless copies of prerelease videos elsewhere as YouTube will degrade the quality of videos you upload." to https://tcrf.net/Help:Contents/Prerelease_Rules_%26_Guidelines#Prerelease_Videos
or

Maybe? Right now TCRF definitely can't host any of those itself, though.

I was thinking more of people keeping personal backups and/or uploading them onto the Internet Archive.

I would guess that people would have to be interested in the fangame to help out. They'd also have to come across this post. You might have better luck asking around the IRC channel for assistance.

While discussing stuff with a friend I remembered that Dragon Ball Z Shin Butouden 2 almost had a Western release in Mexico. Club Nintendo Mexico got a proto and reviewed it, but it was never released.

Here's scans. I dunno how to add them to the site.

I think this issue got rescanned a while ago but I haven't looked for it.

Hey, I read that you were looking for a patch for the Ocarina of Time debug ROM made by Zeth Alkar that fixes Room 125: https://tcrf.net/Proto:The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Ocarina_of_Time_Master_Quest/Test_Maps#Description_10 I have uploaded it here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/03mpt9iz0t7smup/Beta_Courtyard_Correct_Fix.zip

Thank you for uploading this patch! I took the time to test it out a bit and I just updated the TCRF article accordingly.

One thing that caught me off guard a bit was Room 23 being replaced with Room 125. It works, but it took me a few hours to figure out why the emulator was still crashing.

Is something wrong with these two audio files? They work in Firefox, but in Chrome the player gets stuck at 0:00. If I download them then they play fine, so it doesn't seem like the files themselves are corrupted. I'm debating whether or not I should reupload them.

Dunno how to add a bugs page but Krazy Bowl for arcade has a bug where if all four players end up with a score of zero... the game will say they all won. As in, it'll show the "you won" animation four times. And then it asks for a high score entry for all four.

I recently ripped all of the enemies from Kirby's Return to Dream Land for the Models Resource and... there are quite a few unused textures for early enemy designs. A lot of them have solid colors and seemingly point to a more cartoony art style. The most notable one is probably Whispy Woods, which has cartoony leaves with black outlines and everything. Another notable example is the boss Goriath, which had a red color scheme before.

Can we upload videos to the wiki directly? I have a small video, like 200k, that came from a Windows 3.1 game (MOV to MP4 or OGV conversion.)

If a demo has content from the main game (which doesn't show up in the demo) in the files, should that be documented?

If the content is binary-identical, and its in a demo built after the main game, I'd say not. But in a different scenario, possibly yes.

The demo was built before the game, but yeah on second thought, it might be too boring to document.
