Computer games are fine. The wiki has categories for PC and Commodore 64 games, and other categories could be added for stuff like Mac, Apple II, etc.

Duke Nukem 3D has a whole shitton of unused graphics. If I happen to figure out how to dip into the .art files, I could post up the big motherlode.

Plus, I know of a couple other things for the game too.

By the way, is anyone familiar with any N64 emulator that can both record video AND use Gameshark cheats? Project 64 lets me only do the latter, but Mupen only lets me do the former.

The retail CD came with a tool called EditArt that let you extract individual resources to something standard like GIF or BMP. Modding that game was practically my only hobby for a few years, so maybe I'll dig into my old DUKE3D folder and check it out.

Oh sweet, thanks man!

I read an FAQ on it too, and I remember seeing that there were some unused enemy sprites for the map which would have been useful in full map mode, in my opinion. There's also the robo-pig unused enemy (which I think they did use in the Playstation port) and a bunch of other stuff.

Damn. I found a way to warp to specific room IDs in Kirby Super Star, but from what I've seen there don't appear to be any neat debug rooms like in Kirby's Adventure or Kirby's Dream Land 3. Even checked the Japanese version, still nothing.

I did find two mildly interesting unused rooms, though, so it's not a total loss.

I'm still going through the ROM right now, I'm accumulating information as I type.

Another interesting fact, pretty much all of the enemies in this game have 3 available palettes. Most enemies only use 1-2 palettes in-game., so there's a pretty big chunk of unused stuff.

Hey, I wrote a decompresser for KSS/KA, let me know if it'd be of use to you.

Oh no, double post!

Does this appear anywhere? It's loaded with the cutter platform, coconut, and launch platform. It certainly looks unfamiliar.

I can safely say I've never seen that in KSS before. Nice find.

There's another question I have:

Some games have expansion packs which, well, expand the original game with content, and possibly other things. They are widespread in, but not limited to, PC games, and I wonder if the original game and any expansion packs should be treated separately, or just as one game.

Just put them on the same page, making sure to note whether the content exists in the original game or was introduced with the expansion.

Yeah, content that existed in the original but was never used until an expansion would be a nice inclusion.

...which reminds me, I should put up something about Yoshi's Island red Missile Bill Launcher.

In the process of ripping all of the sprites that have unused palettes. There's actually more than I thought.

Also found a few unused background/foreground palettes, which is nice.

Oh hey, I have that model too.

Have you seen its animations? They are freaky. The skull mask he has doesn't help.
