Can someone remind me how to fix troublesome URLs on TCRF? I'm not well versed in wiki syntax peculiarities.

Put "1=" before the template parameter whenever there's an equals sign in the URL (I just did it to that article as an example).

Does anyone know if there's any other TCRF regular who speaks Spanish and who may also be a translator?

The recent Otto Oliphant entries which had some Spanish text on them made me wonder... I'm an actual Eng/Spa translator, and I'm aware there's a few others who have moderate to good knowledge of the language, but I would really like to get a second pair of eyes (or more!) to look at KDDLB's translation and my edits to the text. It's one of the things my (late) mentor taught his students: If you're not 100% sure something sounds right... get someone else to take a look.

Spanish is not an easy language to translate sometimes, especially in cases such as these. I hate poetry. :p

While using upload wizard, I've always stuck at the Describe step - after filling required templates (and not choosing any licensing options), it will not let me go to the final step. What I should do?

The UploadWizard is undergoing maintenance in the hopes of not needing to edit each and every uploaded image after uploading. Please use the normal Upload form instead.
Thank you.

Aquí uno. I could do that. Also, after watching some TCRF entries that are in Spanish, I'm in the mood to help and do for the games that don't have one.

Following the on-wiki guidelines for Game Boy screenshots taken with the latest version of BGB as of when this post was made (1.5.2) or the latest version as of when the BGB guidelines were posted (1.4.3) results in a screenshot with a green pallete - and none of the B&W Game Boy screenshots on TCRF use a green pallete. What pallete should be used?

I don't think it was ever settled on what the "official" GB palette should be.

Gray.

What grays? I don't know. But not green.

I've seen a so-called "GB color palette" that was greens...
A traditional LCD would generally be green, iirc...

I cannot speak for what the 'correct color' would be, though.
From my understanding, most emulators that imitate a single-color LCD use the color the actual screen would've been. (wabbit uses green BG and black FG, just like the real calculators, it doesn't HAVE to) I've seen both white/dray and green, going from memory. Sprite rips generally are black and white, though, I think. Following that logic, screenshots probably should be as well?

That's just my thoughts on the matter

But, again, single-color LCDs raise questions when emulated. What truly matters is consistency with results. And from what I've seen, consistent is white... (and yeah, green is ugly color, which is likely why the emulators/rippers don't seem to use it)

The Game Boy Pocket was gray, not green. The official VC emulators also use grays, not greens.

yep, that debate could rage-on for centuries. going with what the emulators support is probably the best move, though...

as for the green palette i found a while back, i was looking for a certain color palette (that i never really found) , and ended-up finding a some photoshop palettes, one of which was allegedly gameboy, and it was definitely greens. But, again, it was probably based on the screen of one of the versions, not the sprites. more than a few google results seem to suggest some screens where green. tbh, I can't say I really care. Just pointing out my observations. I prefer the grays, and they're more commonplace, anyways.

The DMG Game Boy used a yellow screen, not green. The gray/black pixels overtop gives the impression of green. But as Xkeeper said, the later Game Boy models have a very light gray screen, so pixels don't appear green.

Interesting
Where exactly is a list of all gameboy or gameboy screen variants, anyways?

Wikipedia. Original GB had the yellow/green-ish screen, Pocket and Light are grey -- tho the Light's backlight seems to illuminate the screen with a blue-ish green color, judging from photos? -- GBC, GBA and GBA SP are in color, their palette for regular GB games being shades of green unless overridden, either automatically when the system detects certain games, or via a key combination.

Now I feel like an idiot. Maybe I just don't know how to read the articles, but when I look-up ANYTHING of the technical sort about these video game systems, I don't find much. This is especially true of their graphics capabilities or standards.

Should there (or is there) a consistent way to name game versions? In seems to vary wildly between articles. Sometimes it is more complicated then just the region and revision - there can be demos, prototypes, digital and physical versions, limited editions, etc.

Another question, but easier: does the unused object category include objects that have graphics but no implementation (e.g. no metatile ID or "sprite" ID + behaviour)?

No. If it has graphics, but no implementation, then it counts as an unused graphic.

Easier said than done. It depends on the game, as well as the platform it was released on. Give an example where it gets more complicated than this.
