... are you by any chance on a Mac?

Edit: Apparently OGX is for ogg audio with multiple (more than two) channels. Was the original audio multi-channeled?

Just curious, what browser do you use? I use chrome and haven't had a problem uploading OGGs to TCRF. I have never had problems creating OGGs with audacity so maybe your browser is just being a pain?

Yeah that might be the issue, Firefox isn't doing so well at the moment to be honest.
I think it's time to switch back to Chrome again.

At least test it out in chrome before you make the full switch. No need to go through all the trouble of switching to another browser (and getting used to it) if the problem isn't actually with the original browser unless you dislike Firefox.

Okay...I have no idea, if stubs ever get controlled (no idea, if that's the right word), but I noticed that the description for the lava texture in F-Zero AX was unacceptable, so I went ahead and updated it, using a Youtube video of the GX Story Mode Mission 7 footage (because I never ever went that far in the game).
I might add a description to the Emblem Editor, but I really want to know first, if the Lava Texture description update was actually good and hasn't screwed up anything.
Also, if anyone wants to take a crack at updating the Touhou Hisouten article: The Spriters Resource has got a complete sprite rip of every character, including duplicate sprites and unused sprites.
Additionally, there might exist the slim chance that the Hisouten update, Touhou Hisoutensoku, actually KEPT the old unused sprites, and who knows, maybe there are also leftovers of the older (and bigger) roster, which was the original plan for Hisoutensoku.

Any last minute improvements to make? I've made a preview of merging Cosmo Gang The Puzzle with Pac-Attack.

Edit: done.

Can someone please explain how in the world Majora's Mask 3D has already been dumped and has its own page when it hasn't even been released yet? Did someone get an early copy?

Are we allowed to upload FMVs in OGV format to the wiki? Ex: https://tcrf.net/File:AbesOddyseeDemoTitle.ogv

If they are permitted, what's the target bitrate for these videos? I'm worried about file size here, but ideally I'd want to upload them in the same quality as they are on the disc. Would it be better to just upload them to YouTube?

GoldS: Sure. I would go the YouTube route for now... I need to figure out a better solution for wiki stuff. OGV is nice but relatively unsupported in a lot of cases; something like webm or mp4 would probably work better, but isn't supported by the wiki I don't think.

Keep the original video handy I guess!

There's been a couple webm videos uploaded in the past, I remember doing a couple experiments with ffmpeg regarding conversion options.

http://puu.sh/gdjw1/24123a6bb0.webm and http://puu.sh/gdjxC/110ae4d5d9.webm were a couple of the resulting videos.

I think it is a good idea to put a link to a mirror/reupload of the original video file, in the description of YouTube videos. Because downloading videos from YouTube with something like youtube-dl and converting them will inevitably cause loss in quality, and it'd be best to reduce this where possible.

I'm sure that no-one wants to upload the same video twice, taking up twice the time needed to add it to the page.

I didn't mean that it should be added to the video rules as a requirement. Just something that people (or just me) might want to do, in case TCRF transitions to hosting videos.

Webms are a cool option. The only retort I'd have is that you can't play Webms on Apple products (iPhone, iPad) but that is a minor complaint depending how you look at it. MP4s are fine too minus the previously mentioned problem.

Oh an interesting tidbit: MediaWiki apparently tries to encode uploaded videos (or at least .ogv) to WebM, in a variety of qualities (360p WebM, 480p ogv, 480p Webm), judging by the "Transcode status" part under uploaded .ogv videos.

Just wanted to pop in to say that I kinda like the "inverted colors" look of the Wiki today. If that could be made into an alternate color scheme (being able to switch between the normal blue/black-on-white colors and today's yellow/white-on-black set), that'd be really cool.

To anyone who has played the released splatoon, and the demo:
Does the demo appear to be a late prototype?

EDIT: A prototype article appears to have been created, although there is no proof that it was build before the final game.

What exactly is the difference between: https://tcrf.net/Category:Editor_images and https://tcrf.net/Category:Model_renders, for 3D games?
