I actually ended up lucking out and able to use it in the article anyway: those two portraits, albeit with RoseMary lacking her coat overlay, are within the game's tiles, apparently right next to a massive animated series of select screen background frames...they certainly cut a ton out of this game.

I just realized that the wiki has no pages on the Resident Evil games outside of RE4. There's a lot of unused stuff in them, especially with the recently-released RE1 protos. Someone should drag in a few people from the RE community to do them. :p

I discovered something in Sonic Colors! Namely, an entire high-quality unused room model. Well, it's used and not used. They used it to make the cutscene.

It references textures that, as far as I know, aren't in the game anymore, with the initials "evn", probably for "event". The room occupies the same space that the normal boss room does, so they aren't multiple parts. The same folder also has an unused copy of the Tropical Resort boss's main ring.

If I may, MediaWiki has a spam-fighting manual that might be helpful in blocking the bots from registering. For starters, do you guys require captchas during registration yet?

I said I was going to add Tales of Vesperia stuff and I will, but I started with WarioWare Inc for the Game Boy Advance. If anyone wants to look over it and see if it is all done correctly and what I may have missed, that would be good.

This is a minor thing for some of you who may want to upload something minor. I can just do this tomorrow or Thursday night, but...

Gradius has the same kind of programming test that Goonies 2 has and is activated the same way. If someone wants to post that up before I get to it, be my guest. It's nothing earth shattering, but I figured I might as well put it down, if nothing else, so that I can remember to do it later.

So I made a date template that can autocat games (ex. Games Released in [YEAR]). Categorization can be turned off.

However, I don't know which years to categorize and which to not. Say, for example, Super Mario World. Should it be the earliest year (1990)? Should it use 1990, 1991, and 1992? Should one country be favored above others? Need some input on this.

I think it should categorize by US release date if it exists, otherwise the others.

Yeah, the Wiki seems to generally use a US bias (like for names and such), so I guess it makes the most sense to continue that way. (And then use earliest if the game wasn't released in the US)

Though really using all years doesn't seem like that much of a problem?

Speaking of which, there's also some games on here which have U.S. releases, but are listed under Japanese names (Hyper Olympic, for example). I think we should just go forth on a U.S. bias where, if it was released here, give it the U.S. name.

I'll start doing that a little later, after I get food and finally get to play the new MK game.

I personally don't see an issue with listing it for every year it was released in, though my main preference would be for the earliest release.

Okay, every game on the wiki has been converted to the new date format. And articles without dates have had them added.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

You are a bad enough dude to add dates to the wiki.

C'mon, bad dude! Let's go get a burger!

No, seriously, kudos man. *Applause*

Hello there.

I just learned about this fabolous wiki (thanks to Dorkly) and I'm already in love with it! Anyway, I was thinking of contributing, but I have a simple, perhaps silly question: How will you guys know whether the things what I added ain't bullshit ?

Generally you include the method of access, like a code or other such thing, so that other people can easily find it too.

If you don't, and nobody else can verify it, we trash it.

OK, I see, but the point is I usually discover this stuff simply by using fan-made editors, you know, created specially to open and edit files of one particular game. Am I supposed to just write it like that?

Turns out the Snail Elevator Car in Sonic Colors IS present in the level (but pretty obscure, which is how I missed it), so I removed it off the page. But, in it's place, I discovered something even better! The first and fourth bosses (ferris wheels) each have an unused attack. Missiles! Both bosses have a different custom missile model with a nice texture. Unlike most models, the texture for these has the shadows baked on. It's pretty obvious this is how the first boss was originally meant to attack. I mean, just look at the animation he plays when firing his... pink ninja stars. The two tube things on his back move around as if aiming to launch something towards the player.
