oh, ok (i didnt know because i still havent played that level)... So i'll use the spikes facing up behavior...

BTW, i have the tileset finished... But there's a bug. I made those ice ledges you can hang on. But if you hang on them, and fall off them by the sides, if you land on jump-through ground you are still hanging... If you press up you stop hanging like you would usually do and you can't hang anymore unless you go back to the ledge...

I have no idea if this is a bug in NSMB or a failure in me to use the behaviors...

EDIT: Yeah, it's my fault... It doesnt happen on original W6 levels.
EDIT2: Fuck... The original levels have two behaviors... One that when you fall you stop hanging and another you don't... I think i'll leave it like this. It's not that bad it makes a nice easter egg... What do you think?

Meh... No. I noticed that if you fall while hanging on solid ground (not the jump-through one) you go right, like when you're trapped (like when you're standing big in w5-3's 1-block-high passage) which allowed you to go through some solid walls... Too bad.

Looks Fantastic, I will start making the level soon. Have you fixed it in the patch you gave me?, sorry don't have time to test it right know, and I don't mind I wont be using them much but if it do use them I would like it fixed please.

EDIT: Does the adjustable ledge tile have the hang down behaviour if it does I need one like that with normal jump through behaviour and stand on top

Yeah, it's all fixed in the patch.

If you want those ledges with normal behavior, edit the tileset, go to Map16 and create three new tiles with the same look: Click an empty Map16 tile, then control-click the top-left tile of the 8x8 tiles you want to use. Then set its behavior to 00 00 00 80. Do that for the three tiles: left and right ends, and center.

Then go to objects, select the first object that does not exist on the tileset, and you'll see that you have a number on the middle area. it's the line number. Click it and control-click your map16 tile to add it to that line... Do that for all the three tiles.

THen save and click reload tilesets on your level.

I have done that but could you make some changes yourself:
Do what you just showed me to do
With both those type of ledges have a copy that has walkthrough snow ground filling as a background
Those blue ground to have slopes and tops

And new stuff:
Cave Entrance in two parts like the end of level castle to make the black hole for the entrance to the cave walkthrough and stand on and the rock beside the entrance hole solid



I would like the cave tileset to have all the stuff I have mentioned but when I said ice design - cave design

I will start making the level now and will update it when you give me the new tileset

EDIT: I'm not sure what level to base it on (for the camera) its a medium wideness and tall level for the main area, any ideas?

I don't need any of that stuff I just said in my previous post here are stuff I do need

[This is the most important thing I need]
Appearance: tiles 88 to 91 ledges with slopes
Behaviour: Jump through - stand on (not hang down) adjustable in editor (shift drag) and non adjustable in editor (piece together the left edge the middle and right edge)

When I get this I will finish the level

You can even have your own friken' world if you want it.

I actually added stuff like this to the first post --

You can submit as many levels as you want, and they will all be included in the remix.
If we get more levels than there are in the game I'll just remove some of the levels that are from the same person.

Well, I loaded Hiccup's two levels just now,
but due to lack of power, charger and time, I can't actually play them.

But they look neato!


Anyways, when I stuck the levels in, it broke the game's icon.
The editor mentioned a 'out of order hack' or something,
I'm wondering if that's what screwed poor mario's head up.

The rest of the game still works -- as far as I can see.


Oh, and do you guys want a patch for every time I add new levels?
Because I can do that.

yeah, the header (game title and icon) will get messed anytime you change a bit of the game. Dirbaio fixed this issue, and it's in the next version of the editor (whenever it's released).

I think put out a patch every 8-10 levels collected. That's just my opinion though.

And Hiccup, I can't the eventful chain chomp level to quite work right.
I always get stuck at the first red wall.

I see that there are activators and ? buttons in the editor,
but I can never find them when playing the level.


On the other hand, the other level works / is great!
