Okay, I have to say, I'm not asking to help program the game. I do know some ASM (read: 65c816 assembly), but considering some of the computer nerds around here, if I tried to do anything like that, I would probably get laughed out of the forum in leetspeak.

But I would like to ask a few things about the code. I don't know which of them we have any idea on yet, though, so please bear with me.

1) I'm assuming this is a homebrew ROM, right? If so, how big will it be? 4 MB? 8 MB?
2) In what language will it be coded? ASM (assembly)? C++?
3) What will we use for the music engine? SPC-700 is the only one I know by name, but there are obviously others out there. Which would suit this best?
4) What console (that includes emulators) is this game for? SNES? PC?
5) If it's a SNES game, are we using any enhancement chips, such as DSP-1, CX4, SA-1, SuperFX/GSU, etc.?

I'll answer whynot

1) no, it's a PC game
2) C++. I don't know if other languages will be included or not
3) Sukasa is currently using dshlib for audio output (a little library I made). Currently it only plays back ogg files, but it can be expanded if needed (but oggs alone should be fine)
4) PC, hopefully cross platform. I've been pushing to use crossplatform libs for everything to make it as portable as possible
5) n/a
