| thats really cool!, so in the next release (or this release) we can change king bob-omb star position!, but im a little confused... correct me if im wrong, but there are sort of 2 star positions?, 1st time it gets spawned from the boss, then it flies to the 2nd position, i was wondering if it is possible to change both? and i'd be happy to get the later bosses, the only later ones i can remember are: Big Boo The hands in the pyramids And i was wondering about keys and the massive star... Bowser 1 Bowser 2 Bowser 3 are they changable too?, and there are also some non bosses that spawn stars, like toad on the second floor, he gives you a star... ill get to work on that -------------------- See You In The Future.........Or On Pandora! | The initial position for the star would be spawned dynamically based on the boss' co-ordinates when it's defeated, so if you spawn it independant of a boss, then you wouldn't need to worry about those values, I should imagine. -------------------- I am the sum of my parts, but none of my parts are me. |

I'm having a problem with my imported levels on toad's tool ![]() Whenever I import a level, toad's tool object bank for that level has about 5 red ones and all the others are grayed out (the names). Well usually the red ones are warps and i can change them to stars enemies etc. no problems, But the Grey ones are the ones I'm having problems with. I change it to something and assign the acts to it, that turns it red. But all the objects that used to be gray isn't showing in-game although that they're visible on TT. Does anyone knows how to fix this? |

| sure, click on 1 of the ones that are greyed out, and go to the bottom left hand side of toads tool, somewhere in that area, you will see a line of 6 small grey stars, click on the first 1 and leave your mouse where it is, the first star should go yellow and the grey line you clicked on before will go red, click on every star to have your red coins show up in every act. EDIT: oh wait, didn't read the last bit of the question properly, are you saying some of the red ones in toads tool are not showing up in-game? because they SHOULD... -------------------- See You In The Future.........Or On Pandora! I said i assigned the acts to them. The acts are the little stars. What i meant was the ones that USED to be gray (because i clicked on the starts to make them red) don't show up in the game ![]() |

![]() As you can see, I set object 001 (it was red and still is ) to a door and 006 as a door (006 was gray, but i clicked the stars and it turned red) 006 is currently selected so u can all the information.![]() And here you can see that the 006 door isn't visible but the 001 is ![]() |

| Eedan: Please click on the object which isn't showing in the level and then on "Copy Hex Data". Now just use Control-V to paste it on notepad or anywhere else and post the data here. |

Originally posted by BTTF Forever Bowser keys don't haxe fixed positions, they work just fine without any change. Not sure about Toad and the "massive star" at the end though, I can't remember it. Originally posted by Eedan Ah, that's what I suspected, as I had the same problem when working on "The Missing Stars". There's a bug on TT64 act selectors, so sometimes it produces invalid data (enabling the first-bit when it shouldn't). There are a few workarounds. The simplest is just to ignore object number #6, disable all acts from it and use object #7 instead. Objects don't have to be sequential. If you want to fix your object, open your ROM in some hex editor and go to the "ROM Address" of that specific 0x24 item (remember to close TT64 before doing it). Now change this: 24 18 DF 1C FF D8 FF 1E 02 BC 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 66 00 00 13 00 0A FC To: 24 18 3F 1C FF D8 FF 1E 02 BC 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 66 00 00 13 00 0A FC. The object will now be properly enabled in all 6 acts. Another possible solution is to use the "Copy Params" function to copy the act settings from one object to another, but I haven't tested this one. |

Sorry but none of that worked for me ![]() But I got it to work in a little different way; I took the hex data of an object that works (object 001) and went to the address of an empty object (object 006) in my hex editor (HDD Hex Editor NEO) and replace the data with the data of the object that does work. Doing this, i can then edit the object all i like and it works but the downside is doing this to every object might be a pain. I figure that this is what copy/paste params does but for some reason nothing happens when i click either one.Edit : With further investigation, I figured out that changing that third part to 1f instead of 3f fixes it. Figured that all the default objects were on 5 acts instead of 6, so I tried putting 1f for 5 acts. |

| The second set of saves were fine. The "star in the bird tallons" doesn't have a fix position. As for the original saves, don't mind doing them again, I already found most data I need. |

| yeah, i had a feeling the "star in the bird's talons" was gonna be a bit more complicated. So do you have any Updates, I'm sure you got a lot of stuff done in the past week, i don't want to be buggy, I'd just like to know how the projects going. | Well, v11 is almost ready to release (I already listed the new features in a previous post) Main thing holding me back is fixing up a few issues with the background importer (basically, wrapping around the image), which will require a few additional image operations I'm still a bit unsure about. |
