I've been curious about something. I'll reveal the purpose of this survey experiment when I get a decent amount of answers. (It's about US states, so non-Americans may wish to keep that in mind, but anyone can take the survey.)
What follows is an alphabetical list of all 50 US states. What I would like for you to do is, next to each state, name a city in the state. Try to type the name of the first city that comes to mind when you think of the state. Try to avoid using any references like atlases, maps, Wikipedia, etc. You may leave any of the answers blank if you wish; you don't have to come up with cities for all 50 states. Only put one city next to each state.

There's a Kansas City in Kansas but the main one is actually in Missouri. For Minnesota did you mean Minneapolis? 
Pretty good for a non-American though  I don't think too many Americans would know cities in Canadian provinces, for instance. |

 Yeah, I wasn't sure whether Minnesota was a city or just the state, but Minneapolis would be it ...
I obviously know Canada better, but it's also easier to remember 10 provinces and 3 territories than 50 states
