I played it for ten minutes with the Humble Bundle trial version.. and I quit after ten minutes. :< I just didn't really find it entertaining.

Plus I'd rather not install the Java runtime.

I just don't like looking over my files every once in a while and deleting a bunch of duplicate Java installations.

I just freed up 13GB on my iBook hard drive by deleting all the music I have on it after I moved all of it to this computer. Now I have space to put other things, like documents or movies or erotic literature!

There's worse out there.

That said, at least I got some use out of this blasted 7 year old laptop. Toshiba A75-S2091... it can actually just barely run Team Fortress 2!

Damn, how'd you manage that one, dude? I can't even imagine this computer running it, and it's not even a year old yet.

Is TF2 really that graphically intensive? My brother runs it on his computer, which is hardly state-of-the-art... (the genre doesn't really interest me, though)

I'm fairly sure straight vanilla TF2 would run okay-ish on anything with DirectX 8.1 support (don't quote me, never tried. ). But once you add in update weapons, hats, custom maps, etc, it becomes kind of a resource hog.

My computer's crap for its age. It's relatively new but it can barely play The Sims 3 with modestly high settings. :/ Good thing I don't play that many computer games ... although I wish I could emulate gamecube games here.

I added in the low-poly pack, then I used a high FPS config. Combined, it makes the FPS 20 when there's not much action on screen and 10 when too many new high-poly things are on screen.

So guys, I've been playing Super Mario RPG over the past few days and I'm at Smithy's Factory now and I have the Super Suit and the Quartz Charm and everything. I think I'm only missing out on buying a bunch of fireworks and playing "Look the other way" a hundred times. Should I go back and do it for the sake of completion or does the tedium of the (latter) task not justify the supposed satisfaction in having a totally, utterly accomplished save file?

Is the "normal" (full speed) amount of FPS 30, then? If so then that's not too bad.

I remember playing Wind Waker on my laptop and it would run at around 20 FPS and it was pretty playable.
