Whereas I, on the other hand, like that feature... and often use it as a way to get to pages the fastest.

You are talking about the default New Tab page, right...?

That sounds annoying... the one time I had tested Chrome was when it first came out, so maybe that hadn't been added yet, I didn't stick with it because of the UI.

But yeah, Firefox is bad enough when you're using a computer in public and the "awesome bar" starts throwing things out...

I haven't used a public computer in ages. Well, not counting the crappy laptop at work in the break room. I'm talking about in a college or library.

Last time I was in a library was this year, to vote. But to actually check out a book, it's been about ten years or so.

I use the public library computers to print stuff, because I don't own a printer.

Back when I was a student, I'd go to school for printing.

My printer lacks ink right now.

Had to print photos at my in-laws because we can't (or too lazy) to afford ink.

I hate having to print things... I mean, if I'm printing it, it means it exists in a digital copy, so why can't you just take that? One of the classes I'm in demands that every assignment be handed in on paper... which wouldn't be so abnormal, but it's a programming class...

I don't print a lot of things but since my dad doesn't have a computer, I wanted to send him some photos that I only had the digital versions of.

Yea, I have to get some more ink today, too... might as well get it while we're out shopping

You can hide those and/or disable the feature.

Ah. Probably bad/corrupted plugins. A proper reinstall would fix it.

I reinstalled it about five different times and tried a few different versions even.
On a different note, XP exploded with 0xc0000142 errors so I tried Ubuntu... I gave up after I could't even conent to my wireless network, and now I'm reinstalling XP.
On a different different note, I'm posting from an iPad so hard to type.

I always wondered about that with the iPad... it seems like handwriting recognition might have been a more natural way to write on it, but that would involve a dreaded stylus...

Actually, the lack of a stylus is why I'm not too huge of a fan of the iPhone. Rather type on a DS.

I have a Palm Centro, I don't mind styluses either... but Steve Jobs has openly made fun of them in the past, so I doubt Apple would use one on one of their iThingies anytime soon...

I couldn't even hope to afford an iPhone, much less any type of iPod anyway. Too poor for those, and I'd prefer to go for things like trips with that kind of money.

I have a Blackberry Curve and I like it might. Thinking about getting the EVO next.

If you do get enough money, don't get an iPhone. Apple seems to enjoy crippling the iProducts.

If I do, I plan on getting something else entirely; like a trip or spending money for an anime convention.

If I was going to get one of the newer generation of smartphones (the data-requiring ones...) I would probably want to go for one of the Palm webOS ones, that looks pretty neat with the card multitasking and such... on the other hand, they generally have the worst selection of apps, which I guess is the main attraction of smartphones nowadays? (And I'd have to buy an emulator to use my old Palm OS apps)

Ugh. Data plans. One of the main reasons I don't have a cell phone.

Seriously, why does designing a cell phone plan have to be so complex?

Cause they like to confuse you in order to get more money out of you.

I'm still on my $10 prepaid phone. Only costs me like $30 every several months, as I don't use the phone very often.
