I find that against the Emperor Ing, use Power Bombs if possible when he rotates his tentacles around the ring. If you time it well, they'll be hit by the blast. The best way I've found to finish the first phase fast is to use the Sonic Boom against him. Just don't use it more than 4 times so you'll have some ammo for the final phase. You can also use Power Bombs against the crysallis form for a quick finish there.

I manage to find a use for Power Bombs in most boss battles. Against Quadraxis, I use them when you Spider Ball onto his head and drop a bomb. Mostly it's just for effect but it's fun...
