Yeah, everywhere is pretty bad. Michigan is just worse

I think because a lot of the economy is based on cars, and people usually only buy new cars when they have a lot of money to spend, which isn't the case right now in general.

Yeah, I suppose

There still isn't much for computer science here though And the buses are some of the worst in any large city. They don't cover about half the metro area, there are 2 systems to keep track of because of idiot racist politics, they usually stop at 6:30 or so and don't run on Sundays. Ugh. I had a job offer a while back, but it was too far and I don't drive.

I tend to get ready for work very slowly. Got about 15 minutes here and I'm not totally ready yet.

I'm usually ready fifteen minutes or so beforehand. Partially with the help of my parents though.

I stand up at 5:55 AM to catch the bus running at 7:28 AM.

I tend to be very, very early at such things.

The shuttle to campus is supposed to arrive every 15 minutes at :00, :15, :30, and :45. For whatever reason, this semester it has been completely unreliable, often missing times or showing up 5 minutes early. I think I spend 5-7 hours each week just waiting for the bus. I should get credit hours for that.

I used to constantly run late for thigs, although I'm getting better at that (except some classes). My mom, on the other hand, tends to be hours early to just about anything

I'll try to be early to any of my classes, so that doesn't really tend to be problem unless, for some reason, the bus runs fucking late. In that case, I might be late for a class.

Yeah, here the buses are so fucked up that I'd have to choose between like 3 minutes late and 57 minutes early Usually I choose the former, although I ride my bike a lot.

I don't even think we have public transit here.
Then again, it's so small we can walk everywhere...

Yeah, my old village of ~1100 people didn't have mass transit, AFAIK.

Metro Detroit has around 4.5 million people though, and the bus system is inadequate I think Ann Arbor has more bus ridership than metro Detroit, and it's way smaller. (Or was that Lansing?)

The clock in the bedroom tricked me right before I had to leave for work. It was running five minutes fast.

I really want to throw my current bedroom clock out the window, because it just does whatever the fuck it wants. Forget waking me up on time, this thing will decide whether I'm even worth getting up.

Better 5 minutes early than 5 minutes late, right?

My mom actually sets her clock 15 minutes fast so that she thinks she'll be late and hurries.

I know exactly the time that the subway comes when it's time to go home from work... 10:12 PM.

Dunno why that always is, but it hasn't failed me for weeks.
