I thought about getting glasses like these for awhile now. The ones I have now are four years old, so I need to get an eye exam here soon.

But those glasses I had in mind when I get my eyes checked are gonna be a little thicker, yet smaller than yours. Still, looks awesome to me. Gotta represent those nerds!

Nope, we just brought a blanket to sit on. Better than carrying chairs, especially since most of the show is spent standing anyway! And thanks.

Bitmap, I was considering the frames you're talking about too. I know exactly what style you're referring to. I just can't pull those off. They don't really suit me, I guess. These ones look a little more dorky, which I guess is why I prefer them. Cuz I'm a dork.

And good luck with your eye exam. I had to have mine tested for glaucoma when I went, and that was a fucking nightmare... *cringes*

They... they... *gulp* they numb your eyes and have this machine press on the surface to test their softness or elasticity or something.

Well, I needed to have that test because I have bumps on the whites of my eyes and they needed to make sure it wasn't glaucoma. Turns out they're caused by sun damage and are permanent. But I still had to have that test.

I'm sure they recommend it to everyone at some point, just to be safe.

I never felt a thing surprisingly. I am partly colorblind in one eye, I can see more green than red.

It all happened when a bottle rocket hit me in the eye. I was lucky they did not have to remove it. But they did that test and everything was all gravy.

See, it's been several years since I last went to an eye doctor. All I remember about it is that they shine lights into your eyes and have you read letters with various lenses before saying everything's OK.

They gave me eye drops so my eyes were dialated(SP?), that was a pretty hilarious experience cause it looked like I dranked 10 cups of coffee in one shot. Only that that sucks in this period of time is the godamn sun

Can you guys which one I am? It was my last day working there, and I just found this lying around in my room. Thought I would share.

Really? I mean it's not like it hurt or anything, but I could still feel pressure from it and was completely freaked out by the machine pushing on my eye like that. It was so gross.

I have no idea what the test is for, but the one where they shoot a puff of air into your eye drives me nuts. I always get startled by the loud ker-chunk noise, and the air hits my eyelid because I blink, and then they have to do it again. ... And then I do that again. And again. It's kind of retarded, but I'm incredibly easily startled. I know it's coming, I just don't know when, so it gets me every time.

Having your eyes be dilated always feels weird. It's also fun to go into a store, and have a clerk follow you around because they think you're on drugs. *snort* The sun, however, is not fun.

I need to get new glasses again, which I'm dreading, because last year when I went, the test went horribly, somehow. I'm not really sure how you 'fail' an eye exam, but I did. D: (Seriously, the optomitrist was like "Okay, that doesn't make any sense...." several times throughout the test. heh.) I have to get new glasses pretty much every year anyway, but not being able to walk out with the right prescription when you go just sucks.

I don't have any recent pictures of myself to share, so I will share some of my newest cat instead. She's got extra toes and tufty ears, and is just the cutest little creature ever. /cat-crazy ranting-lady.

Abby with her ears and toes, wearing 'bellbottoms,' and being "thrilled." (Yes, those are four separate pictures. :p)

If I ever needed glasses, I'm not sure if I'd go with contacts or actual lenses... Girls at work have contacts and if they irritate your eyes... you're in trouble. :\ Your eye apparently gets all poofy and that, although I don't really notice when they show me.
