JkDefrag is now known as MyDefrag and can be found here.
It's an actual installer now, though.

Vista Switcher

A much better alt tab application, found it at lifehacker just now, and like it a lot already.

Nice, but that belongs in the freeware thread, not in here. Other sticky.

Anything from Gibson Research Corporation.

Most definitely SpinRite.

Sticky thread bumping time.

One of my most favorite diagnostic/tracing/sniffing/troubleshooting tools is Wireshark. Monitors all network traffic and makes it easy to see what headers and packages are sent and received.

Fun thing to do: Find a public network and enjoy

Yup, hence the 'sniffing'. And my girlfriend lives in a neithbourhood with a lot of condos, and even more people using totally unsecured wireless connections.

Another one for OS X users (little shocked nobody else picked up on this, and I figured it'd fit better here).

Titanium's Software has some good system maintenance/configuration utilities. Personally, I've only used OnyX before (in fact, it's one of my first applications on any new install), but Maintenance and Deeper sound like they could be of some benefit (and I'll probably try them out soon too).

*casts Animate Thread*

(1) Second OnyX for OS X, and also recommend TinkerTool and smcfancontrol/Macs Fan Control.

(2) The godsdamn Tron Script. It's a one-stop shop for decrappifying Windows, and I love it to bits.
