THIS IS ALL IT HAS FOR STARFOX 64! USELESS CODES! (unless I'm going blind or there's a secret button i should push...)

If it's missing so many codes for one game, there's like 85% chance that some other games will have some codes missing too..... >:[

Uh, where's the BS here? I know some pages are broken as a result of Rune poorly converting the database to MySQL and not bothering to leave a copy of the original around (and for some reason, nobody's fixed it yet), but there's no restrictions or anything dumb like that.

Hello?? Multi-colored Mario? Bloody Mario? All I see is a messy mambo-jambo of usless codes, most of which have little value changes between them.

Yeah, the ban wore off, and now that I compare both sites, I see a few that BSFree is missing...

"BS" refers to the stupid restrictions GSC uses.

I think it's to protect them from the hackers? Because last time I think someone hacked it and Gscentral had to be shut down for a REALLY REALLY long time....

Now do you mean hacked like deleted everything/did malicious stuff, or attack as in screwing up the site with something like a DoS attack (see a log of a DoS attack on a major security site here http://www.grc.com/dos/grcdos.htm Dos Attack)

Considering that codes are the entire content, probably.

If you only have one version of a game, you don't really have much choice, do you?

That's the biggest "404" I've seen in a while. 400 pixels high.

It's to prevent bots from copying all the pages. The problems with this are:
1) Kills usability.
2) Attempts to prevent theft of a stolen database.
The database is composed entirely of other peoples' work. Rune does not "own" it no matter what he says. Also, that several-month downtime? That was him hoarding the codes to himself and eventually implementing the nonsense "protections" you see today. There was no hacking done until long afterward.

HH, I can't believe you forgot about Anti-GSC.

StarFox 64 v1.0: http://viper.shadowflareindustries.com/antigsc/?codes&dev=gs&system=n64&game=sf64

StarFox 64 v1.1: http://viper.shadowflareindustries.com/antigsc/?codes&dev=gs&system=n64&game=sf6411

The only reason you'd need to visit GSC is for updated codelists. Which won't happen very often, given how popular N64 code enhancer hacking is these days.

As far as I know I didn't have a layout when I made that post... also didn't notice the page shift either. I don't know what happened...

Edit: Oh, I see now. I'll remove my header HTML until I get some help with that. Very sorry...
