09 and 9 have always been my favorite number, ever since I was a kid. Don't know why, but it is. So when I heard about a movie called 9, I had to see the trailer. And it is awesome. It's being done by Tim Burton and it doesn't come out 'till next year, and hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

Trailer is here

Tim Burton meets meets kick ass action film? I'm not really a Tim Burton fan but it looks awesome! I am totally seeing this when it comes out.

*bump*

<object classId="clsid<embed src="http://g4tv.com/lv3/38364" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" name="VideoPlayer" width="480" height="418" allowScriptAccess="always" allowFullScreen="true" /></object>

But it's a good bump for the new trailer.

This is pretty much the only movie I am looking forward to between now and forever. I saw the trailer in the theater a few days ago, and I was pretty much hooked. It looks really awesome.

...not to mention Tim Burton has never failed to impress me.

Finally, after the long wait, 9 comes out tomorrow. Shame that I can't see it until the weekend.

I'm trying to see it tomorrow if I have time. Almost forgot about it until I realized the date.

Just got back from seeing it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a pretty interesting story, not exactly what I was expecting going in to it, but still good. It's also on the short side, only about 1 hour 20 minutes. I won't spoil plot details or anything because I know you guys will want to see it first but just know it's pretty fun to see. I saw it with about half of SFFG, the club I'm in. We took up about half the theater!

Just saw it. Definitely worth seeing! The less you know about the film going in though, the better. It helps keep you on edge. This is my kind of action/thrill movie, one that actually has a plot you are interested in with characters that are actually likable. Go see now!

So I saw 9 and it was good. Not as good as I thought it could be and I partly blame that on the hype. But the computer animation was amazing.

Is it worth going to see it on the cinema though?

Depends on what you consider to be cinema worthy. It's probably not a movie that you would want to see more than once, but, it's pretty much all kick ass CGI and action sequences.

I think the visuals alone make it cinema worthy as for me, it would totally not be the same on a DVD, TV or something. Not to mention, I would definitely NOT buy this on DVD since it has little rewatchability value. If you mean should you pirate it, I always think early downloaded movies look like shit. Especially with movies that have a focus on visuals, I want maximum quality the first, and possibly only, time I see it. If your willing to wait for a DVD rip though, that may be your way to go, but I still prefer to see this thing at a cinema. That way, it blows you away!

Oh course, it's action is nothing compared to something like Star Trek. It's a good movie, but not great. And though the plot is interesting, it's a little generic too. This is a movie you go to see once, have fun with it, and that's it. Your call.

I just looked up swedish cinemas and it turns out the movie is not even listed there.

So in other words, I can get the US DVD rip long befor it gets on cinemas here.

Finally saw this last night. Not quite as good as I was expecting, but thoroughly enjoyable all the same. I might grab it on DVD if I get the chance.
