Well, either way, what would also be nice is, and I'm sure this has been said before, the option to play your own music off an SD card. Though with a week left till the Japan release, with no confirmation of it, nor online voice chat, I'm thinking those two things got the cut.

I was looking forward to the SD card thing a hell of a lot more than voice chat online... It's still going to be a fun game no matter what though.

Online voice chat was a slim at best chance. We don't even have a mic peripheral for the Wii yet. SD card would be insanely awesome. We'll just have to wait and see, who knows what won't be announced on the Dojo. We still haven't heard about -everything- to do with menus.

This is a pretty cool commercial (Japanese)
So is this.
And this.
This one's a little different.
The 300 Smashers?
Some new things I haven't seen before.
Also, remember when you are fighting Petey Piranha and you can only rescue one person? Guess what happens to the one you don't save...
They...
TURN INTO A TROPHY! Ha, they don't die. Wario shoots them with a crazy gun that turns them into a trophy and then steals the trophy and runs a way. |

| I'm not too concerned about built-in music and chat functionality. It's just as easy for me to turn off the in-game music then run the Wii's audio output through a laptop with WinAmp and Ventrilo installed before sending its output back to the TV. |

The 300 one made me chuckle a little. The second one I saw on GameTrailers in a higher resolution. I think the videos of the battles themselves, and not the Subspace Emissary make me want the game more. They look like they're hectic and lots of fun.

It's often common for the soundtracks to modern Sonic games to feature songs that end as opposed to loop and fade, and I'm pretty sure the frequency seems to decide how often a track is selected randomly when starting. Otherwise they'd have to have 5 to 20 or whatever songs loaded in the memory at once. |

I've noticed that as well, but it's a small enough change that I don't really mind it too much.
I was just watching some of the Subspace Emissary videos. I really want to get into this adventure as soon as I get Brawl and have played a few Vs. matches. It looks like it'll be really fun. It's probably also the closest we'll ever get to a full-blown adventure game featuring Nintendo's franchises doing crossovers.

That's... umm... a thoroughly irrelevant update.
Although, might this be a prelude to having the original Fire Emblem available on VC in the US? I mean, we got Sin & Punishment for the N64, and all...

Or for people that don't play games like us.
Also, Japan gets Earthbound and Fire Emblem NES.

Now that's just unfair. That game came out here, too, damnit.
(That, and it's hard to come by... It's one of only a few games I'd be willing to get on the VC. A demo would be good, even.) |

Well, maybe we get them also, but they just didn't give the other country's pictures.
We will find out in a week. |
