So I guess you guys noticed sandbag too right? This should be of interest eventually... I honestly wonder what the point is with slipping a random punching bag into a multiplayer brawl though...

I suspect Sandbag is there to throw at people. I've killed people via throwing an Octorok (or was it a Redead?) at them in Melee, for instance.

I saw that as well. I wonder if the music tracks will change mid-fight. Seeming to back that idea up is that the full-length Angel Island track actually ends. Plus, the My Music allows for track frequency. That sounds to me like a the selection of tracks for that stage will randomly swap around as you play.

A lot of soundtracks tend to have endings to songs even if they loop in game. Don't put too much credit in the fact that the song has a real ending.
