NOTE: I am not really copying FP by posting this. I really was intending of doing some LPs at one point and I sort of am already right now. By all means, go watch FP's LPs.

I will be also doing some LPs. I have started some on the Super Metroid Hack: Pantheon and I have never played this one, so I will usually get lost. I also tend to talk about random stuff as well as read some of the conversations in teh IRC window behind me while playing.

Anyways, I have 4 segments done, I'm going to do 2 more and then start uploading all of them.

Meanwhile, I'm, not quite doing an LP on this, but I am recording all of teh Mother 3 Boss battles on Hard mode as well. Already have the first 2 battles up there with sound desynch issues, somthing that will be fixed later.

^ Agree with cpu.

Waiting for part 6 to load right now. Very entertaining. I'm wondering if you got any of the #jzd channel talking about the giant ass-fuckers and STDs for part 7/8.

Yes I was over #jzd and included that in those segments, I think it was those segments. That or (9) and 10.

And yes, I ran into assfuckers, both the normal and the lower norfair ones <_>;;

I will be adding the 8 segments I did tonight to the upload list for overnight.

I agree with this too.

I like how you talk about something going on in IRC while you're recording. Some of the things you say are pretty funny.

So I'm watching part 7 right now and remembering half the conversation from yesterday. Can't wait till you get to the strange stuff we talked about.

I dont think I want to...

Part 12 failed so you all get a summary of it instead. Part 13 is uploading bnow and Part 14 is after that.

All 4 segments of me doing the Cryo Lab of MMR are after that.

I am going to work on a LOT more of Pantheon and mabey add a random game thing in as well. After I complete Pantheon, my next SM Hack will be Golden Dawn, and this will not be a blind run. I will still probably make stupid mistakes though...

As a suggestion, if there's any way that you can actually use a screen recorder instead of the digital camera, it would help a lot in terms of being able to see what you're doing. You must know that the video is rather dark. If not, it's okay to continue as you are, just making a small suggestion.

My computer sucks, so screen recorder will cause so much lag and slowdown. I guess it also doesn't help that a lot of the rooms in this hack so far are dark :x

Ah. Well in that case continue on Mr. (9).

And you're right, Pantheon is rather dark in places :\.

Ok, I have just finished recording 16 segments of Pantheon. They will now be uploaded one after another while I sleep, unless My computer dies...

This means my next part will be 30.

The only thing I have an issue with here is the digital camera. Seriously, it just doesn't look that good. :\ Plus you have the line creeping up the screen and it's a little blurry and... yeah. :\

If you were doing post-commentary, then I would have played around with the video output in ZSNES as that usually gives you good framerates. If nothing else I'd at least play around with some different recording software to see if anything gives you a decent framerate.

augh

Do not make digital camera LPs or you will get retsupurae'd so hard. Get some screen recording software, or don't do a LP. It's that simple. They're simply not watchable.

I will see if there is something else I can use to record my video, but with past experiences on this dumb computer, I highly doubt it...

Though I will be doing these on a better computer soon. An old laptop that I can switch the screen to my computer's screen. Probably just a few more weeks. I will continue to use a camera though till then.

If your system is no better than some Pentium III...you're probably right. I could do no better than 18FPS outside source digital camera that was mounted somewhere and the banding was good enough so that you didn't have too terrible of a watch when it came down to it.

Although there wasn't much I did with that.

If it's some sort of a high-end Pentium 4 or better with a decent vid card, you might try something like SnagIt using MPEG Layer-3 format in AVI (if possible...there was some download I can't find now that does that better than Windows natively that works wonderful for me).

I did try Camstudio just now and it was a little laggy, too much for me to do anything. I have a Pent 4 btw, though, I've been using this computer for many years, so it's slow...

Yep. Some integrated Intel POS. You're definitely not equipped for the task if you're relying on old, dated, on-board graphics.

Need to probably invest in something once you figure out what kind of graphics slot you have. I'm guessing AGP but you won't know til you pull the lid off to see for yourself.

I can get good results recording full-screen with Fraps... the files are huge and need to be encoded but it works. :\ Camtasia and Camstudio don't do it for me, way too much de-sync. (FCE Ultra desyncs for me but I can mess around in VirtualDub and Audacity to fix the audio, it works just fine; ZSNES seems to work just fine making a video)
