Of course, all peacefulness is boring, and I write relatively darker toned stuff too. It's just that it's not really a metaphor when I write, nor is it really intended as a specific takedown of X thing I hate, it's just an explicit retelling of some event that happened in that universe. You can absolutely have conflict in a story that isn't based around your personal beliefs.

y'know i'm thinking about how normally if i were talking to someone this much i'd ask for their discord, but i like how we communicate exclusively through a bunch of old PHP code. it's a kind of friendship lost to time

re: writting, i've always struggled with an internalized sense of devaluing my own writting, and so i mostly destroy and discard it and only shows when i talk to people personally
but i write a lot, and have been encouraged to in more recent times-- i just tend to write nonfiction and abstract poetry
worldbuilding is wonderful but actually describing stuff that is in my head is a chore
and then novel prose which is what the expectations of writting that had been imposed on me are is just really not my thing

so basically, if you're struggling with writting, it may be the format and approach. not everything has to be a Story or whatever you're struggling with.

also AMA threads are good

Hey, I would too. At least while my Kafuka account is still going... not really a dedicated forum for it, though.

Also, I don't know if someone got shot or it's just a muffler delete, but I still don't see how my grandma loves San Diego this much to live here for the last thirty years. I'm honestly amazed I haven't heard a plane go overhead or a fire truck go by all day today.

Yeah. I was gonna go get some of my stuff out of storage, but I ended up getting up too late, and my mom didn't want to go drive out starting at 1 considering it's a two hour drive. I guess tomorrow.
