So, after 15 days since this thread was created, here's what we have so far:
New level hub
-------------
- Two areas with "houses" (initially, messiaen): 80% done.
- One main "city" area (initially, messiaen): 20% done
The main city area will feature few minigames and some NPCs. One of the minigames will be Celux's DDR (I'm waiting for the updated patch) and I'm doing another one in which you'll play as Yoshi!
Levels:
------
- Secret Woods (Celux): 80% done - full level with 6 stars. I'm curious to see what Celux will do with the new features of the base patch.
- "Sky Cage" (SecretGlitch): 50% done - full level with 6 stars. SecretGlitch is reworking some stars but it's going well.
- "Flat" Lava Land (messiaen): 20% done - I'm just beggining to work on this one, it will be different from the 'sample level' I'll released a few months ago.
- "Cave level" (Blaster): Not sure how is the progress.
Custom ASM:
------------
- "Flexible" collision pointers: As featured in the base patch, allows some behaviors to be applied on any model
- Woking select Mario/Luigi: Working, but I need to change a bit Luigi physics by patching a few Gameshark codes into the ROM. Suggestions (and specific codes) can be sent to me by PM.
- Extended memory support: will be used mainly for custom ASM.
I haven't seen anything (screenshots or ppf patches) yet from GhostMaster3000 and Twilight. So, here's the deal: the deadline for sending a level is 02/11. As stated before, this won't be a very long hack, the main purpose is to experiment things and work our best on a few levels. Feel free to send some quality WIP material to me if you want some suggestions or have a specific need.
After 02/11, I will work in a more private way with the people who sent levels until the hack is finished.
