Uses 6 of the 10 buttond(The 2 center ones and all the inward arrows). This is sorta interesting, yet weird. Dont know if it is like this in all the other PIU games.

I don't know how that even qualifies for "doubles" (aside from using the middle of the pad), since each half has 5 normally

Sounds kind of silly to me, at least.

Half-double was a mode in PIU way back. Prex 3 was the last game to have such a mode and, unlike Pro, actually removed the two target arrows on the left and right to truly make it half-doubles instead of another double mode difficulty ala Pro does due to the Stepmania engine doing that.

It was removed in Exceed, yet there were still half-double charts present. A good example is What's Going On NM, which itself is a half-double. Love is a Danger Zone A-FS from the main series is actually the half-double chart from the older mixes.

I saw a few of these on YouTube for the songs that never had one such chart due to being from Exceed on. I was not impressed with the charts, actually. Neither is Nexcade, since apparently they have an official half-doubles chart that the Pro team snagged IIRC.

And Xk: It is half-double. You may think there is no difference but there is a huge difference in how you have to step. You have 4 less buttons, thus have to step in a different way.

hey stop watching preview videos not made on pump pro r5

StepMania's supported half doubles just fine since 3.9 or possibly even before then (although it's had a different layout until recently).

Pump Pro itself supports half doubles just fine with this change, only showing 6 panels.
