Thats a riff though, probably not for someone starting out. I wonder what it looks like doing full chord strums.

Rock Band 3's gear priced: keytar and Pro guitar sport MIDI out, adapter lets you use any keyboard / electronic drum set

Wow, thats a long news title.

So, it seems the keyboard and guitar may allow you to play it through other means with the midi out. Seems interesting. The adapter that lets you play any electric drum set or keyboard has me more excited though. Wish I still had my electric set, but still sounds cool.

Half of me says "wow this is awesome"

The other half says "why not just play the real instruments at this point".

Then again, with MIDI out...

Wow. Just wow.

I might as well be speechless.

Unbefuckingleavable! This RB3 info literally made me shout in pure joy. I did not think they would actually do something like this crazy pro mode. I don't care if the whole set-up sets me back $500, I have to play this keytar and new guitar NOW! I can't remember the last time I was this exited for a game.

I want to play the new guitar, but I have an acoustic that I could just pick up and play instead! Seriously though, I do want to try it. I wonder how real guitarist are going to be on the pro one.

$150 dollars?

Blah, forget that.

I might just get the game by itself.

That is pretty steep for just 1 instrument. Thats as much as the whole game bundle was at first.

As long as we're still able to use the old instruments I'll be fine. Though that keytar is pretty tempting.

Most likely, the Pro guitar is only for Pro mode. The Keytar will probably be combined in the Rock Band 3 bundle box.

Am I the only one finding the prices for these "instruments" getting worse and worse? Especially in times like these, you'd think they'd atleast try and cut the profiteering down a little

Why? The company needs to turn a profit from making these items and in turn pay their employees who make them.

Besides, people will buy them anyway, why lower the price when they first launch?

Neat. Still up in the air on if I'm going to get just the game or the bundle.

Leaning towards getting just the game.
