| Well, now you have an idea why it was doing that.
Anyway, I figured out CC and DD in Block 2... They work just like AA and BB, but are the measurements of where the screen pans when Mario is flying through the air from a spin-pad. You can see the baseline and a few examples here The line is also offset by the values in AA and BB. The examples in those screenshots have AA and BB set to 00. I'll bet that CC and DD are also used for other things, like those pipes that shoot Mario into the air and possibly regular spring pads. |

| Have you tried looking at other levels with the spike balls and comparing the sprite data for them with yours? |

EDIT: this is the situation about pipes: [img]http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/4804/screenhunter01jul170758.jpg[img/] and if you want to make it work or just look at the level: http://www.mediafire.com/file/tx5lgzmhd0d/1-2 pipe scroll problem.nml and a sugestion for 4.8 could entrances click into postitions on pipes that alow them to work ive worked out roughley that you move the entrance up a bit and left a bit on upward pipes, down a bit and left a bit on downwards facing pipes, one left facing pipes up and left, right - righ a bit and up hope that makes any sense
also could you put a feature in the editor where your drag the mouse on a blank part of the screen and select stuff so you can resize all of them move all of them and delete all the stuff you selected. |

Originally posted by HiccupOriginally posted by TreekiOriginally posted by Garmichael I wrote a pretty lengthy post about pipe-camera-panning a few pages ago. Your other problem (about the camera shifting left and right when you reach a certain height) was also talked about in a lengthy post. My recommendation to you would be to start at page 16 of this thread and read (very carefully) every post on every page since. Most of the questions I've seen you ask recently have already been addressed or could be fixed with some simple data checking against other levels and sprites. |

| I'm guessing it's a missing font.
Installing "MS Sans Serif" should make it work. (Google it or PM me and I'll send you mine.) |

| So, uh, I haven't been here (this thread) in quite the long while...missed a couple of revisions even.
So to make sure I don't do anything already done, does anyone have an up-to-date .txt (or the like) with the Bit data for individual sprites? (Don't know what I mean? Has things to control sprites like Fire bar's direction and length) |

Originally posted by Madman200 http://treeki.shacknet.nu/nsmbsprites.html I'm thinking of setting up a forum to coordinate all the NSMB hacking activities, even though it seems to have died down over the past few days. Anyone think it would be a good idea? This place is good, but useful info gets lost easily in the 30 pages, and it would be far easier to be able to separate stuff into threads. |

Originally posted by Garmichael I set up a wiki a while ago, but I never made it public, and I never added more than a few basic articles. (I was also making it in English and Spanish for the benefit of the few Spanish hackers on ElOtroLado.net, which made it even harder to do stuff there.) I prefer the forum format a lot more; it makes it easier to see changes, it's harder to vandalise, and it seems more inviting (to me, at least) than a wiki. |

| I could work with that.. Would it be a full forum with multiple threads? |

Originally posted by Garmichael Yeah, pretty much like Jul and most other boards. I've been working on my own board software for the past few days and I want to put it to use, which is another of the reasons why I want to set up a NSMB board. In any case, I'll set up a board and see how it works out later today. (Must finish the PM system and mod tools first..) |

| sounds good. I'll admit I've been lacking in editing recently due to time constriction on the computer, but I've found an innovation! I'll play through levels on the DS, and make notes and drawings of what I want to do. That'll cut editing time significantly since I'll already have ideas planned out =D If you guys need me to post updates on my hack to show progression and activity, I'm fine with that. Just let me know. |
