also, there's a small bug in 2.1 that I need to fix, so do remember this if you encounter it:
dragging enemies won't save their new position, you must open the dialog (even if you don't change anything) and click OK to save it to the ROM. It will be fixed in 2.2

Hopefully it won't take too long to figure out. I've already split the header files up into seperate pieces and cracked the entrance/exit format (although there's still some left for that). I'll take a try at the camera one, if I can find where it is

I've noticed a few glitches in the new editor. Like how I must change the object type and change it back to be able to keep an object "moved." And I just realised now about the mario start postion thanks to pozeal.

Well anyway...

Thanks to my effort to recreate SMB 1-3, I have found more object modifiers.
I can't post them now but I'll get them to you later Treeki, as soon as I get to a much better, reliable connection...

Ps. The supposed beta block I found is not beta but rather a block used to create spining shapes in a castle level. (I think the casle is in either world 2 or 4...)

Okay, whenever I open a level to start, then click the open level button on the toolbar, a message pops up and says:

Run-time error 339

Component 'MSCOMCT2.OCX' or one of its dependices not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.


When I press ok, the editor closes.

I run Windows XP, Service Pack 2, I have 1 GB of RAM, and a lotta free space on my hard drive

1. Download this.

2. Copy MSCOMCT2.OCX to C:\windows\system32\ (or equivalent)

3. Click start, run, and type this: regsvr32 \windows\system32\MSCOMCT2.OCX

4. Press enter, and try opening the level again.

OCX files are controls that Visual Basic (language I used for this editor) and ActiveX-supporting programs can use. (MSCOMCT2.ocx in specific provides things like an Up-Down selector.)
Using it won't ruin your computer: especially as it's from Microsoft, which ensures it won't have a virus or something else.
The regsvr32 command registers it for use so the editor (and anything else which may need it) can load and use it correctly.

I'm starting to get some progress on my second level
It is a mushroom cave, which has holes that look out inot a mountainous background XD

anyways, I have about....
1/4 of it done XD
The beggining has a pipe cannon that shoots through a hole into the entricat part of the cave.
Like an entrance sorta
