Ever had times in gaming where you're about to do something and then, all of a sudden, Fate decides to intervene like the cruel mistress she is?

Take, for example, the fact I'm working on an obscure puzzle title Oh My God! which I've been battling in getting better on for about...two years maybe three...

Anyways, I hit like, level 14 or so from 0 for the first time...I usually get to 9. I get a swivel block that's about ready to clear a large chunk of the playfield and probably end up on level 15 or 16 (if it was fast enough to clear) and...

CONNECTION TO AT&T LOST REDIALING

Yea. That full-screen image in MAME was lost and replaced with that; I re-opened the game and I had already lost. Damn freaking 56K.

And I was doing good too...

So anyone got anything better than that, or recent?

I cleared all of Magicaliss, put my PSP into sleep mode, and forgot SNES9x doesn't like taking a nap.

I am still a silver Epsilon. (Better than a gold Zeta, at least)

Playing Chrono Trigger in ZSnes, I had made quite a bit of progress, so I went to hit Save State... and hit Load State instead.

Super Mario Advance, the game froze just as I was beating up the last boss. Just froze.

And like everyone I've had save files get corrupted, that's hardly even worth mentioning.

Well, a recent one was in World of Warcraft. We were raiding Serpentshrine Cavern, one of the 25-man raid instances.

Trying Lurker, this big fish boss. The fight is in the water, there is a circular piece of land where you stand and the boss swims on the middle.

Well, it's our second try on the boss. We get him really well, despite the fact that people keep on dying, still keeping it up. He has 1% of his health left. People scream, everyone does whatever they can and so he dies. Or so it seems.

He likes to submerge from times to times. He submerged, right before he died. Oh, and did I mention that he summons some mobs whenever he submerges?

Nevertheless, we got him, although everyone died in the end, zerged by the mobs. My gear was broken and the repair cost was humongous. And of course, nothing good for me dropped.

Hate when games freeze. Specially on real systems (not emulators).

Final Fantasy VIII. I hated that game so much, but managed to play it to the fourth disc.

Brother has a game loaded and for me to play it I was to save it for him (although he used a Gameshark or AR on it I forget) and then I'd just load my save.

...I overwrite my save data with his cheated data.

Haven't touched the game since.

I'm constantly having these moments with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, since I have downloaded it.

It has a tendency to show two moogles and a "Thank you for playing" text, then resetting the game when I move from a place to another place.

Maybe I should just buy the game.

Don't want to turn this into FF wars but uh.
FF9 was weak. Seriously, it amazes me anyone could go past the first disc. It had boring characters, boring story and boring battle system.
Junction was great, the characters in FF8 were all awesome, the game had a nice setting and the characters also didn't look like super robot wars except without mecha.

There's no need to get a crack, it was a R4/M3DSSimply error that was tripping to the end of the game. Just update your firmware.

Computer freeze on Knights of the Old Republic... after a 2-hour play session with no saves... and then auto-save glitched out and wouldn't work properly

Shortly before I ever beat Lufia II's Ancient Cave the first time, collected important items to face the boss. While advancing those dangerous Silver and Gold Dragons with caution in the 94th floor, my SNES froze in-battle - only the music continued.

That sucked really. Since you cannot save inside this dungeon, several hours of "work" were lost. At least I managed to finish it later and have beaten the boss - gladly it was the only time a game froze for me before.
