Well, I've just finished Episode 26 of Kaiji, so I suppose Akagi is up next. (I still stand by my opinions on Kaiji, by the way.)

However, I know very little about mahjong, but I suppose that won't be too problematic.

It mostly depends on what subs you get, some of them are nice enough to have some notes on the different hands and such which helps a lot, not that much Mahjong knowledge is needed.

I think you'll be fine.

You're going to want to start playing Mahjong after you see Akagai. Hell; I have weekend Mahjong nights with friends now. Feels good, man.

Also, what did Akagi order at the bakery?

Hweeeehehehehe.

I'm confused as to why people are already hating on this other than "Oh no it isn't a bunch of moe schoolgirls doing kawaii stuff it is going to suck!"

I say Gainax has done something good here and I'm only judging it based on this video already. The style looks great and reminds me of Dead Leaves. That means good things.

I have just realized that I really like anime that have lots of character building versus other types?

I mean, the anime that I always remember is the one that has lots of relationship/development.

Card Captor Sakura
Clannad
O_____ High School Host Club
Death Note
Rin Daughters of Misomoeh

(On the manga side, XXXholic, Death Note, and Black Butler)

On the flip side, you could also say I like a lot of 'girly' anime.

I also like "awesome" anime. If my cousin finds out I'm going to die from embarassment.
But entire Jul finding out doesn't concern me at all

An anime that never seem to interest me is Dragon Ball.
I always think "I should at least TRY it" but... just... no.

caught

On a related note, I recently watched the first episode of Ore no Imouto etc etc and I think it's hilarious.

To be honest, Dragon Ball is actually pretty good. It has a nice balance of humor, adventure, and silly martial arts that is rarely pulled off correctly, much less attempted, these days.

It's when it turns into Dragon Ball Z that it gets so ridiculous that it's practically only good for its nostalgia value when looking at the original anime.
Now, the manga skips over all the nonsense that wound up in the anime, so it's actually not that bad. Recently, they released a version of the anime that I think was designed specifically to cut the filler, so I imagine that wouldn't be so bad either. (I haven't watched it myself, though, so don't take my word for it.)

I'm hearing very good things about the anime season so far, many proclaiming it as the best anime season to date.

After watching Ika Musume just now, I might actually believe this. Seems like they got anime to please everyone this time around. I need to watch some show where there is a lot of fanservice but I forgot what it was...

On this season's anime, I recently saw the first episode of The World God Only Knows... I had read the manga awhile back and liked it, it seems like they've done a good job moving it to anime.

Ika Musume is awesome. Out of the three shows I'm watching this season, it's my favorite - I wouldn't say by far, but for me it's ahead of OreImo and Sora no Otoshimono Forte. Not a single part of the episodes so far has been boring, while there were some segments in the other two shows that I didn't like as much. Especially the character interactions and dynamics in Ika Musume are wonderful; like how not a single person is afraid of our "invader from the sea" besides Nagisa, while Chizuru's presence alone inspires quite the fear in Ika herself (understandably). Also, the last part of episode 5 was a tearjerker and totally unexpected.

Besides those three, there's the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun OVA that came out some two weeks ago. I wish it would've been more than just like a regular "filler" TV episode, but hey, it's Railgun so I'm happy - especially since there was some Saten-san in there

(And I think this was my first non-ROM-hacking, non-TCRF post?)

So I am watching Madoka Magica. I thought it would be a magical girl show with a little bit of surreal for the villains (which works) but then I watched episode 3.

I saw something bad coming but not that. Wow.

I've been watching Madoka Magika since the first episode. (Someone compared it to SZS, so I had to see for myself.)

The title sequence hits particularly hard after the first three episodes. I think I know what kind of end to expect from this show, but that's not going to stop me from watching the rest of it.

I can't wait for episode 6.

I also expected something to happen at some point, considering it's Shaft, Shinbo, Gen Urobuchi, etc. producing the show, but episode 3 was just... well... And now I fully expect Madoka to in the end be the only one left... well, left unlike a certain person from episode 3 onward.

And ironically enough, I've got the opening theme stuck in my head for two weeks now and I like it, despite the contents of the show and the relative irony. ClariS should've called this opening "irony", and not that of OreImo before.

I watched the first three episodes of Madoka Magica today...

Wow, I didn't expect that in the third episode. It really hit me hard, and I'm still in a state of shock after that event even after two hours of watching other anime, like Infinite Stratos and Nurarihyon no Mago.

I'll be watching the other episodes of Madoka Magica as soon as possible, that's for sure.

Madoka Magica Episode 6: Kyubey keeps "forgetting" about telling them the small details. 100 meters? Is that damn furball serious?! Man, again with the last few minutes of the episode...

EDIT:
Infinite Stratos Episode 6: "Ichika no ecchi." HNNNNGGGGGGGG~

Also, while Onii-chan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne!! is by no means a really good show, it is hilarious XD

(...yeah, doesn't really add anything coherent to my post, but what the hell)
