Tyty: Yeah, I watched Gurren Lagann as it was coming out. I was kinda forced to considering everyone was nagging me to watch it =x

I should consider watching Pokemon subbed. I've watched about 10 episodes or so, and I've realized that the English writers should have been fired. I've seen people complaining about how Ash will never become a Pokemon master. In the original version, Ash never said he wanted to be a Pokemon master. He simply wanted to explore the world.

Actually, what's keeping me from the subbed version is that I needed a show that I can listen to. That is, I'll clean my room or wash clothes or something with it playing in the background.

Ah hell.

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor series is getting remastered. Its 26-episode box set is due out at the end of May and the OVA will come out in July.

I don't know what the price will be but who cares...if you've never seen this series before it is one FUNNY ass series that anyone with a sense of humor should see.

Apparently, the second season of Haruhi is, in fact, being spliced in with the first season re-airings.

I am currently watching Death Note at the moment. One of my friends who buys the DVD's actually gave me his box set and the live action movies. So I wanted to see what the hub bub was about and I am impressed. It actually has me on the edge of my seat.

Currently I am on episode 14. And so far things have gotten interesting. Too bad the AMV Hell series spoiled the ending for me. But it is still fun to watch and learn how this comes to a close. I never thought this series would be so clinging.

And for anyone who would like a recommendation: For starters, I want to begin with 'Baki the Grappler'. Not the movie, but the series itself is actually a pretty good fighting anime. Baki starts out as a young boy to train to be the best, and the first episode reveals that he is no ordinary person. He is the son of the greatest fighter known to the anime. Make no mistake, this is no DBZ, this fighting anime really goes into detail about the fighting styles and the human body. The people who made this really learned their human science on this one.

My second, and at the moment last I would recommend is: 'Gantz'. People who die have to follow commands from a black ball. That is all I can say. However the story is really gripping, and the anime is ok and all. But watch the anime first, then read the Manga. The Manga get's seriously deep. So deep that it blows the reader's mind. There is a huge fanbase for this manga. And the anime is no exception.

Grappler Baki (Baki the Grappler) is very much a series that I went for when it came to beat-em-the-f***-up animes. Probably moreso my friend than myself. It's been a long time since I've seen it, same with Gantz.

Surprises me I didn't hear something like Hokuto no Ken or Hakusho mentioned in there.

I was going to mention it. Better to start with the Baki series. It's pretty debatable on which anime is better: Baki, or Hokuto. But starting with Baki is pretty basic.

Recommend me something. Something with guns. Lots and lots of guns, but light on the mechs (I'd rather there be none, but you can't have everything). Filled to the brim with violence, action, swearing, and tits are a bonus. I have seen Black Lagoon, Gungrave, Hellsing, Full Metal Panic...

Oh, swords and shit are cool too, just not when it's set in historic Japan. Too overdone. Something like Berserk...

Ok, go!

As for something else: really I don't know a lot of other series that would match you. Do you have any mystery anime for me to watch? I personally thought Death Note was pretty good.

So... I'm watching Narutaru. Ep. 5

You can sorta see where is it going after the second episode... But no, I don't know exactly how far.

I've only heard it's somewhere from "a lot" to "the manga had to be heavily censored"... Which makes me wonder just what the hell am I getting into...

Watched all of Samurai 7 recently. Very good series, albeit a bit predictable, and not enough violence, considering the storyline and setting.

Still, a very enjoyable watch with amazing art and likable characters. Basically, mix up rural Japanese rice farmers with big mechas and there you have it.

Just bought Fist of the North Star: The Movie (The animated one, not that horribad live action crap).
Never saw it in its entirety, so it should make for an interesting watch at work.

So I've been watching this show recently called Goshuushou-Sama Ninomiya-Kun. It's pretty good I think. Only 12 episodes, it's a bit ecchi (no nudity) and lighthearted comedy. The plot revolves around the main character Shungo Ninomiya, a high school boy trained in these crazy martial arts and this girl, Mayu Tsukimura, who is an androphobe. He's tasked with helping her overcome her fear of men by his sister (who is more powerful than he is) and Mayu's brother. The catch? Mayu and her brother are both succubi and worse yet, Mayu is unable to control her powers and unintentionally attracts men. Luckily, Shungo has little interest in women himself, but when he finds out that to cure Mayu he now has to do everything with her, including sharing bed, bath and school, it's tough. Making things more complicated yet, the student council president, Reika Houjou, loses a bet made and is forced by Shungo's sister into becoming a maid in their service.

I'm enjoying it so far. I've only got a few more episodes to go and kind of wish that it continued longer. It's also got a pretty awesome opening theme. Dunno if my description will make anyone check it out, but I figured I'd share it.

Can't believe nobody's mentioned Eden of the East.

(Or maybe someone did, but I didn't catch it.)

It's a good watch, pretty good thriller elements, and a good way to recycle the "social experiment" idea.

Been watching One Piece since my 8th year in school.

But this opening by far blows every other opening away

Even the "We are" opening. Holy shit man!

Even though One Piece is on par with Naruto (Ugh). I still think this series does everything right in Anime. I can't find anything wrong with this anime personally. It just works for me.

The story. The Action. The Characters. The Humor. The battles. Oh my God people. Watch this series. Even if it is over 400 episodes long now. Just watch this.

The first 100 episodes might not seem all that much. But wait till 200+ / something. The crew get's seriously "Wah ass" in the series. Holy fucking shit!

I just finished watching Death Note one minute ago and I have to say that the series was incredible! It's the first anime series that I have completely watched on the computer and I'm happy that I finally decided to watch it after my friend bugged me for six months to do so . I'm actually surprised that I was able to finish watching it in exactly one week, I figured that with work taking up a lot of my time it would have taken a lot longer.
