Don't forget the extremely cute and gay Valentine's Day bonus episode

Yeah, pretty much (re: Lucoa). Thankfully KyoAni apparently had the good sense to completely omit an entire character just to avoid at least one other pretty iffy story arc from the manga.

For the most part everything else was really charming and comfy to watch though.

Maid Dragon, the anime, was great. The manga's decent too, but I feel like this one's a series where the anime adaption improved on the original work... not even sure why in particular. Although I do wonder how a theoretical second season would go about
Spoiler:
including, and toning down, イルル (whichever romanization is official, dunno), because she's...something.

That aside, this season I guess I'm watching just two(*) shows, namely Yurucamp and Mitsuboshi Colors. Both are slice-of-life and comedy, tho with different kinds of themes and characters - and these genres somehow being the only ones I'm regularly watching these days, come to think of it.

(* ignoring a backlog of 4 or so shows, dating back roughly a year...)

I still have some backlog that I eventually intended to get through, but I don't know if they're available on CR or anything and I'm too lazy to check:

- that one series with the angels or something? I want to say the words started with HR but I forget
- celestial method (someone may have recommended me this)
- ???

I feel like I'm forgetting some other stuff.

There's a bunch of stuff from this season and the last few that I've needed to start, but the only currently airing shows I'm watching are Yurucamp and... Pop Team Epic.

Also been watching the second season of The World God Only Knows with some friends, as well as Mayoiga, which certainly is a thing that I've watched almost all of and still have no idea what the hell it's even trying to be.

The remake actually added more to the cast and the CGI is pretty slick, plus the music is wonderfully retro sounding to go along with it being a 70s anime remake. They even play disco music at one point when the Yamato launches its fighter fleet (utilizing a very ingenious rotary platform catapult launch mechanism)
I just watched through all of this over the last few days, including the movie. It was pretty darn great if you ask me! 'w'
I have never really seen the original nor any of the sequels to that, so this was a nice entry point if ask me. And from what I understand the remake is better than the original in almost every way so I have little reason to go back too. ~w~

Can't wait for the next season that will cover the next story arc, it's currently in production/airing, but they are doing the movie format releases on it in Japan. (Never really understood this approach, tbh).

I'm fairly sure it's not available in my region either. Anime streaming services are "okay" if you live in the US, if you live anywhere else then they are kind of just hot garbage. :p
I think one of the biggest hurdle the anime industry needs to get over is region-locking as well as how they handle and sell off rights to distribution.

Absolutly, and DVD / BD distribution is not much better. Now should I get the UK, US or German release of something? Which will feature what extras, and who had the better resources for translation etc?

Or I could just order a bunch of Japanese LDs and try to understand the contents somehow....

The only anime I watched recently was Madoka Magica. I may give Little Witch Academia a watch one day, possibly sometime next month. Hopefully that one turns out to be good, heard it was good from someone.

i'm watching little witch academia and it is indeed good. lord knows if i'll finish it though, i'm really terrible at motivating myself to watch anime

i've never seen madoka but i've realllllly wanted to for a long time. the only issue is that my gf wants to watch them in movie form and that requires 4 hours of time commitment so rip

i have like 500 animes on my computer that i've never seen and i really need to get around to watching them (i've only seen like 5 of the shows in that pic)

haibane renmei and re:creators were the two I was missing.

Unfortunately, at least the latter one isn't easily accessible, so I guess I need to go find some magnet links.

Started watching Dragon Ball Super (I fully realize I'm a couple years behind).

It's uh, pretty much what I expected. Though considering I only really have a cursory knowledge of the rest of the DB series it's a wonder I'm not totally lost.

I've been watching this regularly since a year back or so, and I enjoy it for what it is.

It's not groundbreaking in anyway, but it's more Dragon Ball, with all the ups and downs that that comes with.
