I have been working on this on and off for a while, but lately I have have not been working on it much. It is an alternate extender for preparing a Super Mario 64 ROM for editing with Toad's Tool 64. I figured that I better write a quick readme and post a WIP release, or it would just sit on my hard disk unused. It has been developed under Linux and should be very portable. It is not quite ready for prime time, and I welcome any suggestions on how to best add Windows support to the makefile.

Will your extended work with other versions of the ROM such as PAL?

What is the difference between this extender and VL-Tones extender, and why use this one?

The purpose of this one is it's not written in macromedia director and it has a linux version. Now we just need to get the editor to at least work in Wine.

I thought it did work in Wine..
But it was extremely slow..
And had some graphical glitches..

This is just something else you can possibly use if it doesn't work.

Or not, I guess. Somebody seems to have forgotten that 95% of SM64 editor users are a) on Windows and b) couldn't use a compiler to save their lives... not to mention (aparrently) TT64 doesn't even work on Linux, which (for all but the most advanced people) completely misses the point.

Useful, but only to about three people, and even then...

While this is potentially useful, it is not useful in its current form. Consider that A) most users of this would be Windows ones and B) the forum revolves around Toad's tool 64.

Thus few people can probably give you comments or help, or won't understand, or worse, give you help requests for something they can't really use yet.

Once you compile it in Windows, feel free to post a new topic though.
