| Inspired by the (relatively recent) discovery of the Playstation cheat menu for Primal Rage, I took a look at the remaining systems that are missing one. It appears the Saturn, 3DO and Jag CD are all based on the same build/source, as they all have a code that you can put in on the title screen which will cause lightning to flash if entered correctly. Entering the code again will flash lightning again and disable the cheat menu Saturn is Up x 3, Down x 3 3DO is Left x 3, Right x 3 Jag CD is the odd one out, internet has it has Lx2, Rx2, Lx2, Rx2. That didn't work for me at all. The only thing that did was to mash left and right as fast as possible, as soon as the title screen pops up, if the lightning doesn't come within a few seconds, go to menu and back to title screen and try again, eventually it'll work. The only emulator that even partially supports Jag CD (that I'm aware of) is Project Tempest, so that's what I tested it on. Most likely the internet code is wrong. I tried every variant of left and right I could think of but couldn't find anything that stuck. It's also very possible given the unfinished state of that emulator that the code input problems are an emulator bug, or just inexplicably tight timing. I'd be interested if anyone with real hardware could give it a go. The menu itself is a cut down version of the Saturn/3DO menu. The 'X' option is equivalent to 'one hit kills' in the other versions. Just the game gear/game boy versions left now! |
