I'm kinda hoping people will be able to bully them into walking back on it like what happened with Sony deciding to close the PS3/PSP/PS Vita store. This is Nintendo we're talking about though, so

Doubt they care. People keep spending money with Nintendo and they'll continue to do what they always have. Release certain things for four months with a forty dollar up-charge and then put it away in the vault for another ten years while teasing all the other IP they have. They're a business - they don't give a crap about your wants and as long as everyone else continues to buy and vote with their wallet that way it'll remain as such.

Considering the Wii U sold all of two units, the 3DS is now 11 years old, and their successor has been printing money for them non-stop since 2017, I can't say I'm holding my breath. We'll see if it happens, though.

I need to charge my 3DS... as for Wii U, I don't have one, but I've been curious for a while now. At least you don't need to buy DS games anymore to homebrew a Wii U.

Sometimes, depending on the file. Tops about 1MB/s at best.

For games like Gotta Protectors that works.

Considering that I haven't been able to buy anything on my US 3DS/Wii U digitally for about 5 years now (The switch launch brought in regional credit card locks outside of just the USA), it's probably time for me to CFW my Wii U anyway.

I don't know what I expected.

It's a shame they screwed this up so badly - the 3DS was still a surprisingly popular platform, and I know that it was selling surprisingly well, even after they killed manufacturing.

It's dumb that they don't want to accept free money from the 3DS eShop.
