the blockquote code in my layout is a hacky mess from trying to accommodate to all sorts of line break scenarios. not sure if i want to nuke it or not. or maybe just make quotes squares...

also i like how long this thread has gotten as a strange parallel to the original layouts thread

Yep, no post count change when cleaning up doubleposts for me.

Also, I decided to shelve the Jaguar background until I'm good enough at CSS to do the whole layout I wanted to do in the first place (in all honesty, it was just me messing around with the provided CSS and getting my bearings with CSS anyway, not something I ever intended to be final -- especially not with a 5K background image! That thing loads slow.)
So here's a Dinosaur Planet image instead, a fanart I've always loved and one that's way more appropriately sized at 1280x1024. Also, I've taken the time to replace all of my other images with Macintosh Garden hosted ones, so they should now work with any graphical, CSS-capable web browser. I got tired of seeing the broken image image on Safari.

that's a nice background, it's a very welcome change! i think i'd recommend sending the box to rgba(2,2,2,0.6) though to make it a little more readable

Here's an image, so that I don't have to be nonspecific.
Keep in mind, it's using a rendering engine from 2018; the most common reason for something to be broken is it doesn't support TLS 1.3, not that it doesn't support the content.

I should look into getting a TLS 1.3 MITM engine, they do exist...
