Macaroni and cheese is one of those super common comfort meals that's just never jived with me and it kinda bugs me 'cause it seems like one of those things that's super tough to get wrong, and like everyone else ever seems to agree with it

...On the other hand, I've noticed adding something to it makes it a thousand times more palatable. There used to be Hamburger Helper microwave singles that if I remember right were more like just macaroni and cheese with little bits of beef, but that shit was good. (...Also, I drunkenly made a cup of shells and cheese one night a couple months ago and dumped a shitload of bacon bits and pepper into it and it was one of the best things I can remember eating in months, haha)

maybe I'll try making the stuff with beef on the stove sometime, but hell, it's so hard to bring myself into cooking new stuff these days

A traditional late 20th century Canadian comfort food is Kraft Dinner with an all beef hot dog or two cut up into rounds and mixed in. I'll also say the 'leave film on bowl' on these is a bad idea. At least vent the edge a bit because it will otherwise exploded in a microwave they're calling for (about 1000W).

Last week I had some friends over, and we wanted a pizza.

But the pizza joint wasn't doing carryout, only delivery.

But they don't deliver to my address. It was weird and annoying.

So I made some mac and cheese. It blew their minds away. they were so surprised at how good it was. But I was confused, because it was just Kraft instant mac. After discussing it, we found out that they don't read the instructions, they just pour some random amount of milk and butter into their pot.

It's almost like the people who print instructions know what they're talking about..
