| Context: Hirokazu Tanaka (Chip Tanaka) has recently released an album called Lost Tapes; with some of his unreleased/or borderline unreleased (such as demo music) tracks. I was just reading about it earlier. It only just recently released so I'm unsure if much documentation exists yet, although samples of some of the songs can be heard here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8v9gEf2hMg In particular, and what encouraged me to make this thread; Forest of Illusion notes one of the "lost" songs was actually used as a Nintendo NES M82 demo kiosk theme. https://twitter.com/forestillusion/status/1376122257077018625 Another user posted this: ターボ @papaoyabun Mar 28 Replying to @forestillusion Track 1 is an alt of the first pokemon anime opening This one is not the same either, what's on the album is the demo tape for the song While the melody remains the same, the instruments do not There seems to be some unused mother themes though, from the sample they sound great" Some of the games Hirokazu Tanaka has composed do seem to have unused tracks which are left in the final game (e.g. Chee-Chai Alien), so perhaps certain unused tracks ended up in the album? Does anyone know anymore? Thanks. ^^ |
