I'm in a more unique position where I see computers of all kinds coming through my job on a daily basis. From a $20K or so rig to an IBM Model 50Z 286 that I have sitting in the corner on display with Windows 3.0 on it.
If you're bored, look older equipment up or whatever strikes your fancy. It really is worth it to see what your bounds are for older equipment and getting them to work like you want and learning about them if you didn't have the chance to identify how they worked growing up. Like I didn't have my hands inside of a computer physically until I was 13 or 14 so going back to these older machines and learning why things were the way they were that I had theories about and confirming way later on in life is an interesting feeling, to say the least. ____________________ |
