Despite the horrible pandemic, it wasn't a complete disaster of a year. Some good things did happen:


  • I moved to Chicago, which is something I've wanted to do for a long time now.

  • I finally got around to writing my second book; it's complete, but I haven't published it as I want to finish its sequel first.

  • I started learning Norwegian in November and have made quick and encouraging progress so far.

  • After much trial and error, I learned how to bake amazing chocolate chip cookies.



My hopes for 2021 is to finish the sequel to the book and to get really good at Norwegian and maybe finish writing some short story in Norwegian

In a bit of a hole here too, a much smaller one but a hole nonetheless. Also slowly been getting back out of it, one step at a time, tho sometimes slipping and falling back down a meter or so.

Hoping for 2021 to be better globally and personally, but I'm kinda positive at least in the latter regard.

I'm late to this thread (it's 0:26 as I write)

2020 has been sorta neutral in the COVID sense, I did a lot of living online already, but I also more or less moved out this year so that's nice. It's getting hard to shake a feeling of global shitslide though.

Happy 2021 though, I hope y'all see improvement. :3

Good things that happened in 2020 for me:
- first anniversary with my partner
- got to experience transitioning for a month, it felt amazing
- stayed with Dad in rural Tennessee over the summer, helped him put up a mobile garage, fixed my first piece of broken computer hardware
- did a lot of Norwegian learning, can kinda understand it now (seems I'm not alone in that regard)
- bought the first dedicated GPU I've had in... seven years or so
- graduated high school, was really easy thanks to having paper packets each worth a whole credit
- worked on a Game Boy homebrew, flashed it to cart, it ran. Still really need to work on it more, though
- December 31st came and went without an atom bombing

Overall it was a surprisingly inoffensive year for specifically me and few other people. Sure, lockdowns and stay-at-home orders got me down like everyone else, but I was already extremely-online and can't drive, so it wasn't life-changing. I did end up catching the virus somehow, but I've mostly recovered. Incredibly annoying, though. Overall, 4/10 year for me

I actually just switched back to it. It was pretty pleasant looking and felt nice to change schemes for a change. But I noticed the old classic theme is gone .... I think it was called the Daily Cycle? It would change colors depending on the time of day. Any chance to get that back?

ooh that sounds neat...
yeah I was talking about it on the discord the other day, how the christmas theme...
kinda had a good balance to it? it's got nice, diverse colors, everything is distinct,
and yet it's still very pleasing to the eyes? I kinda wish we had another theme like
it in those respects; most of the themes are dark, and the couple of light ones are,
too light for my liking..,
...and also I don't want to use the christmas theme all year.. keep it special, ykno?

but,, yeah, if that theme they mentioned still exists, I'd love to see it,

Daily Cycle! I loved that theme! I'd love to see it return.

Daily Cycle wasn't removed, or at least not recently. It's possible that it's been missing from the list, though, I haven't checked.

Jul's default has been a variant of the classic Night scheme all the way back when it was still Justus League 2.

* rented a place for me and my father to live, he ended up having to leave back to his former place so now I live alone. still trying to figure how to adult, specially when it comes to food
* feel incredibly burned out and i just want some time to rest

in 2020 i was really productive at the cost of neglecting mental self-care so might have to do something about that soon. not sure if i could handle a 2020 act 2.
