Pokémon-X perhaps? It's a bit enigmatic how the author backdates comics to the original upload schedule. And the humor in some of the earlier comics is really iffy. But the graphics were always pretty well done.

sometimes i think about the webcomic Neglected Mario Characters, which is supposedly the first sprite comic on the internet

actually, i have some suspicions about where the author of that comic strip is but i won't share these thoughts publicly..
