So, I got to see the Sonic the Hedgehog movie today and... it wasn't bad! I sincerely enjoyed it. It's up there with Detective Pikachu, even if it isn't quite as faithful to the source material. As expected, Jim Carrey's performance as Dr. Robotnik was the best part.

Personally, I was planning to see it even before the redesign just to gawk at the incredibly awful first design. I'm still hoping they have the original version on hand somewhere so that we can see it in all of its uncanny glory.

What are your thoughts on it? Do you want to see it?

I did see the movie on premiere day. It was well received by fans of the series. Hope the sequel has a similar story to the second game on the Genesis.

I watched it. It was okay. I did enjoy it, but I was really hoping it would be a trainwreck. As much as I love Sonic, I love even more when companies fail to hit the mark.

I can't help but get excited by the trailer. Seeing the references to Sonic Adventure's opening, the Tornado, Knuckles's one-liner got me giddy. I'm cautiously optimistic that it will be at least as good as the first one.

The first one felt like the execs were going for an safer formula with the allready done and dusted CG and manchild go on a roadtrip. But the recent trailers imply that they are going for a family renuion chaos emeralds mcguffinhunt.
