I always thought the view counter was a bit silly, given that it's incremented every time any page is loaded for any reason. Every time a search engine indexes a page, or you look at a thread, or whatever.

It's a relic from a bygone time. It's neat in the way that it links Jul to the early days of the web, but it really means nothing. What will I do when it rolls over? Probably not even notice.
