Okay, it's taken me about a year but I'm mostly quite comfortable with working in GBA assembly.

However, one thing that continues to confound me is that I'm having trouble tracing things related to button input.

I'm using VBA-SDL-H, and basically I want to breakpoint on read the routines that check the button input state at 4000130 (Key Status) on the I/O so I can enable/disable things.

Or am I just going about this wrong?

The easiest way is to buy nocash, I don't know offhand any other ways to get data breakpoints in a GBA emulator.
