Machinima closes down with more than 80 jobs lost

In short, Fullscreen acquired the long-running MCN Machinima, and certain content creators got laid off weeks before the shutdown (such as Maximilian Dood and The Super Best Friends Play channel).

Many changes to YouTube have been heavily affecting the platform these past few years, including changes to channels, copyrights, promotions and advertising. Machinima was incredibly representative of early YouTube, but as time goes on I guess it was inevitable that they too wouldn't have been able to handle the algorithm.

It's kinda sad seeing they go and what it means for YouTube, but it's not like there's much that can be done at this point.

Now, could someone please close down IGN already, thank you.
