I was thinking a bit about how the emotions on the animated movie Inside Out could (maybe) speak out to us in different ways. Like, for example, I heard two different people say their least liked emotions were disgust and sadness, respectively, and I could imediatelly picture why they personally didn't like them as much.

So I stared to wonder: What about everyone else? Do you have any emotion (or anything else from the movie, really) that speaks out to you in a special, personal way?

I'll start with my least favorite emotion from the movie: Anger. Why? I'll be honest, it's because I don't really understand it that well. It usually clouds my thinking and makes it difficult for me to think logically. It can make me very harsh, hostile and cynical, which is normally the opposite of what I try to be. I can end up doing or saying careless things and then immediatelly regretting them later. It can lead you astray and it can make it difficult to come back. You can see in the movie how it's quick to react and how it usually ends.

I try to be calm and civil. Anger just seems to go against all of it. I guess it's necessary sometimes, but it still weirds me out a bit when I go from being angry to normal and think back on how my train of thought went while I was angry. It's unsettling.

I haven't seen it, so I can't really say, sadly.

Emotions are hard, though; they all have their purpose, but... bleh. Some of them really do just get in the way...

i saw it today!!!!!!!!!!! for the first time

i loved it. i guess i don't really have a least favorite emotion. i really hate when disgust is misused as an emotion irl, but i liked her a lot as a character (her goading of anger towards the end was really great lol). fear was really funny, especially when he's watching the dreams and scoffing and being all "seen it" "meh". and even anger was hilarious and lovable in his own ways (esp when he's used as a char in other peoples' heads, lol)

believe it or not i think my least favorite emotion at the beginning was, ironically, joy -- she was just so overbearing and controlling and the way she treated sadness made me kinda mad. i guess i've just known so many people that externalize their joy as a way to shut down any grief or mourning, and seeing it kind of frustrated me before i realized what was going on. but ofc that's part of the movie and joy underwent a lot of character development and grew on me a LOT by the end to the point where she's my second favorite now!!

sadness is absolutely adorable and well she's my fav. i find her very relatable in general, but also my own journey in trying to comprehend and understand my own sadness and how important it is to me kinda mirrors the movie's plot, haha. you know, letting each emotion have its proper place and finding healthy ways to express all of them and understanding what every emotion is there. but of course, building that understanding takes time and a whole lot of patience with yourself...

anyways i love all of the characters, they're all wonderful and lovable in their own ways. plus i love the cute felt aesthetic and the shiny hair and the colors of the movie, it's so gorgeous

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
