|We're well aware 3DS games are region locked. So it intrigued me that on my US system, Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives 3 Final Stage (for instance) is identified in English as 'Sega 3D Classics Collection 2'. Is this normal, or visible anywhere without hacking? A Japanese 3DS has no OS language setting.
The name itself is semi-official, being used for the game's Miiverse community.

|As far as I'm aware, those titles are not visible without hacking, since I believe a 3DS flat out rejects an out of region cartridge without even showing its banner and title? I might be wrong about that, tho; don't have any 3DS imports yet.
Oh, and as for another example, Etrian Odyssey 5's Japanese version [or the Japanese demo at least] has the English subtitle "Beyond the Legends" in its header data, while the final English release was called "Beyond the Myth".

|You'll find that the alternate language title data is used for Streetpass.
It's how I discovered the "Beyond the Legends" title in the first place because my US Region 3DS streetpassed my Jpn Region 3DS.

|Even if they are technically used in some circumstances - these should still be noted if they appear to use an early name (or are interesting for other reasons).
