there's definitely some flash games buried in my memory that i haven't been able to remember enough to find them. the two that come in mind was something about a wizard, i think, and shit's all pixelated. another one is like, ants, or maybe i thought they were ants, because they were just pixels, running around and flowing thru a puzzle room or something.

despite these memories being very unspecific i can't help but think about them almost regularly

I actually have one to add here that I only recently remembered.

A long, long time ago, back in the ancient days of video tape rental stores, my father would often take us to Blockbuster or Hollywood Video to pick up something for us to watch.

One day, we chose a tape for a 90s CGI movie because the graphics sorta reminded me of the N64 game Chameleon Twist. The only thing I can remember about the title is that it had "Water" in it and may have described the setting. The movie was about fairies or water spirits that lived in a tiny town on a pond in a forest. One day there is trouble, so the two protagonists have to save the town. I think there was a frog involved, and he was either the mayor or the villain. Anyway, I recall the movie was mediocre at best, even by 90s standards, and may not have been more than 30 minutes long. My memory of all this is pretty hazy.

I wish I could remember more about it, but I forgot the title and I've never been able to find anything about it. I hope to watch it again someday, even if just for nostalgia.

i remember sometime early 2010s me and my sib were on the couch and some tv movie came on where it was like some kids movie in space, like on a space station or something. i don't remember anything about it or if it even had a plot, all I remember is that it wasn't shot much better than a sitcom and this preteen girl kept calling shit 'stellar'. i'd like to say it had the vibes of lazytown but in space.

we thought it was so dumb, and it was so insignificant, but it's one of those memories that sticks around and comes up in my train of thought at least once a month for some reason.

I remember a game (I don't remember where I got it from. Was it those ICQ games? Or RealPlay? I can't recall) in between 2004-2009, it was a kinda Jump 'n' Run like and it had those two characters that looked like cooks, wearing a chef's hat. You could either play it as single-player or co-op. I used to play it with my brother a lot. And I always tried to search the game after all these years, but I never could find it again.

It was a sort of fold-around holder which was more display than portable.

Not that one, no. But that definitely is equally as likely to hurt if you touch the disc.

The one I recall would flip around and was basically a bar across the disc when playing. So the disc stuck out either side.

If not, then it was definitely the same performance but either on a different date (and a different audience), or the same one with different editing. Either way, I'm so happy that I found it again. Special thanks to this guy on /r/tipofmytongue for being what I'm assuming is the only other person on the planet that remembers this video (from back when Revver was a thing. Anyone else remember Revver???)


Also, by sheer happenstance, I stumbled upon another thing I completely forgot I remembered until I uh, happened upon someone that was archiving it. It's an ancient Flash-based netart site/experience called The Woodcutter by Josh Kimberg. Somehow stumbled upon this gallery of confusion when I was a wee lad, and I've never been able to find it until Kicks archived and reuploaded it! I'm also fairly certain that Josh also made a similar Flash netart gallery called The Cave, but I haven't been able to find that one yet. Here's hoping that he'll reupload that one as well!

there's a hong kong movie about a ghost kid who hides in a garfield plushie stuffed with tons and tons of money. the plushie is in the possession of a triad gangster who befriends the ghost. i have never been able to find the name of this film, ever. i only saw it in passing once when my grandparents were watching it when i was a kid.

There was a booklet with optical illusions that inexplicably had the full picture of Wario Land's box art in one of the pages. I distinctly remember being confused as to why they'd put something like that.

I know that booklet is still somewhere at home, but I haven't seen/found it in 10 years if not more.

no idea what book this is, but i'm assuming it's because the box art has all sorts of strange conflicting perspectives in it. no matter where you look, something seems to be out of proportion with something else. it's confusing where exactly Wario is situated in relation to everything else in the image.

there was a site I used a lot when I was a kid called PlayCrafter that let you make platformer flash games. it lasted from around 2008-2011.

it was very limited and bland in retrospect, but it was so much fun growing up, throwing together a dumb little game and being like, yeah, i made that! when it shut down, i eventually moved on to Scratch and sites like that.

That reminds me of a song I once heard in I think Kongregate Racing, that sounded like L'amour toujours, but I don't know if it was actually it. It had the same sort of mood and rhythm to it, and to this day it's one of those songs I wish I could find again, alongside that one from earlier in this thread with the guy.
