We've talked plenty about how the weather IS, but what is your perfect day like? What kind of weather makes you happy?

I like clear, bright days, mid to high 20°C's, with a slight breeze, and preferably a glass of wine or a beer in my hands, sitting around talking to friends.

To a lesser extent I also enjoy a thunderstorm, safe and dry inside, but they excite me less after I had to deal with the aftermath on an ISP helpdesk. A LOT of modems die in thunderstorms.

Honestly, that weather would be snow because it's just so fun to mess around :V
It very rarely happens though for better or for worse.

Other than that, the weather you described is also something I'd enjoy. Not too cold, but not insane like some summers can get.

dry and cold!

i had the immensely lucky opportunity to spend a week in paris in dec 2016 when i was invited to a hackathon
walking the streets at night in 1-4c felt wonderful because, despite that being EXTREMELY cold for me
(the coldest i've been at my hometown was ~8c)
the lack of humidity and wind in the air made it extremely bearable and even pleasant

i'm super sedentary at home but i walked around more there in a week than i usually did here in a month and enjoyed every minute of it

5-10C, rain, heavy fog is my favorite I think -- it's relaxing, and I like the mild feeling of isolation.

it’s upper 60s and slightly humid. the sun’s out, driving out the fog from the night before. soon, many fluffy clouds in the sky. then a thunderstorm in the afternoon, just in time for there to be a rainbow around sunset. then it’s cool and rains again.

That bit where it's overcast and a rainstorm is coming but it hasn't gotten that windy yet and it's still slightly warm out.

It was beautiful out yesterday, with the high pushing if not in the 80s — and then it got cloudy right after I got home. Hopefully today's the same.

Anywhere from 0-24°C or so. Some wind as temperatures get higher, although hard wind is fun occasionally as well. Overcast or at least a fair number of clouds. I don't mind rain either.

Although I don't like hot summer weather all that much, warm-ish but cooling evenings are probably one of my favourite states of weather as well.

Slight humidity, I can't deal with dryness or the air being water.

Doesn't really matter what temperature, though. Anything between 2°C and 27°C is fine to me, though I think my true favorite weather is the rainy season during spring. pretty much what sofi and Rambly said.

Aesthetically, I really like light rainy nights. That is, enough rain that I can hear quiet rainfall indoors but won't get soaked if I have to walk outside for a bit.

For everyday weather, though, I like dry, cloudy weather around 15°C to 20°C without more than a light breeze.

About 15ºC-20ºC and light to normal rain, or cloudy/slightly sunny. Thunderstorms kinda scare me (yes, really) so I don't really like them unless we're not using any electricity at the moment, which is only going to happen during a power outage let's be honest.

When it rains but the sun is also shining, that can make the colors on everything look really saturated and it generally looks very cool.

I really enjoy any weather that's around room temperature, but more humid. Preferably with not a whole lot of sun and that it's raining.

very, very same and i think spring is actually my fav season

RAMBLY SEASON RANKINGS:
  1. spring

  2. fall

  3. winter with lots of flurries and light coatings/dustings of snow

  4. regular, mild summer (think 80F-ish)

  5. winter when there's no snow blanketing everything all pretty-like but it's still bitter fuck cold and everything's miserable and the trees are all dead

  6. summer but it's pretty hot and extremely humid (think like 95-100F air temp, but heat index of like 105F+) and it feels like a hell ocean outside but you go inside and the AC is on and it feels like you stepped into a portal to a different planet

  7. winter when you get a ton of blizzardy snow and it's really pretty out but also you have to shovel it and that sucks

  8. monsoon

  9. volcano ash

  10. hurricane season

  11. tornado season

  12. summer but it's both extremely hot and dry and the heat penetrates through the walls and no amount of air blowing around helps

I actually prefer a rainy day where it's raining nice and hard and I have a day off from work.

I can just sit in my room and relax, not have to go anywhere or do anything, and just kinda treat it as my own little secret hideout away from the world at large.
